“We had a lovely meal at Gig Shack! You’re definitely paying for the atmosphere. I was a bit frustrated to be paying $28 for a burger and waffle fries, only to have normal fries come out. I asked our waiter and he said they were out of waffle fries. I wouldn’t have minded too much if he had let us know, it just was a bit odd to have our meal slightly downgraded with no notice. Nice music, though, and what we got was good. Wish I had waffle fries, though.“

“We LOVE it here!!! The food is AMAZING and fresh, the staff are welcoming, and so polite! Tables are spread out and you feel 100% safe. Service is top notch and the owners are the NICEST people. We come out here every Summer and you bet we are here atleast once or twice on vacation. It’s that good! My daughter loves the shrimp and lobster. 🍤🦞“
“I had my daughter and her fiancés Welcome Party the night before their wedding at Cap’s last weekend. I booked while Sammy was still owner. He graciously handed my party over to the new owner Amy as she took over the restaurant. While they all were doing the work for their opening, Amy worked with me and together we made the final plans for a party of about 107 people plus a few children!!! Food was fresh and delicious. Atmosphere was very nice. Thank You for a memorable night. Every one enjoyed the night.“

“Such a lovely venue. This charming yacht club offers a respite from the more heavily touristed areas of Long Island and has a more local feel. The staff were very welcoming and the chef was brilliant too. The restaurant has been recommended to us by Viking Fleet, as somewhere to bring our catch for cooking. We had caught around 5 good sized Porgies and a couple of Sea Bass. The chef turned these into dishes from around the world. Tempura, fish tacos, bang bang salad and a Chinese style rice dish.
Highly recommend.“

“We sat outside enjoying the fresh air. The food was delicious and fresh. Even the kids enjoyed everything. Service was awesome and very attentive. Someone was constantly coming around making sure everything was good. Definitely recommend this place.“

“We had a fantastic dinner at Gigi’s Montauk. The lobster pasta with uni butter was the best pasta I’ve ever had—perfectly al dente and absolutely delicious. But what really made the evening stand out was the service.
A small issue came up during our meal, and our waiter handled it without a moment’s hesitation. He took ownership immediately and resolved it to perfection, making the entire experience feel effortless. We felt genuinely looked after, and his response left more of an impression than the issue itself ever could.
That level of care deserves recognition. Great food brings people through the door, but thoughtful, confident service is what makes you want to return. Huge compliments to our waiter and the kitchen for making this such a memorable dinner. Five stars, wholeheartedly.“

“This was a fortuitous stop. We were early for dinner, and we wanted a view of the water. The view was not great, but the atmosphere of a crusty old tavern, a rustic setting, and great food won us over. Fantastic pumpkin caramel cheesecake for dessert.“
“Best Restaurant in Montauk by far. From the chef in the back to the staff in the front. We stayed in Montauk for 3 weeks and this is the only place (besides Shagwong) where we went 3 times. Food was fantastic from the Duck, to the German Night Sauerbraten, to the BEST clam chowder around. Thanks for great food and service...“

“Had a very nice meal on July 13 for a party of 12 people..Calamari was excellent as was the swordfish..Mussels were perfect..Nice cute inside bar too.Miss the shark jaws from Salivars but was very happy with our meal and service..Bana cream pie was perfect ending.“
