“We had a lovely meal at Gig Shack! You’re definitely paying for the atmosphere. I was a bit frustrated to be paying $28 for a burger and waffle fries, only to have normal fries come out. I asked our waiter and he said they were out of waffle fries. I wouldn’t have minded too much if he had let us know, it just was a bit odd to have our meal slightly downgraded with no notice. Nice music, though, and what we got was good. Wish I had waffle fries, though.“

“Everything was fantastic here. The service was great. The atmosphere was perfect. The restaurant is super clean and the food was great too -I tried some of my friends awesome pancake pancakes. I ordered off menu what my friend group has been referring to as “the sandwich.” BLT egg and cheese! They even gave me the rye option! Made perfectly served with really good fries too. Heck even the coffee was great, super strong just the way I like it. A+++“

“I love this locals spot in Montauk. The only reason for less than 5 stars is comparing it to fine dining, etc. As far as bar food and chill vibes, this place is great. The service is fantastic. I try to stop in whenever I'm in Montauk.“

“Wonderful bar or tavern with some excelled pub grub. I had the scallop sandwich. Delicious. Others in the group had the open tuna sandwich and a pair of hearty looking salads.
I liked it so much that we came back the following day for lunch, but they’re closed on Mondays. In hope to come again one day.“

“Cool old school atmosphere. Old man at the counter is just the sweetest. Food is very.....meh. It was all cooked to order which is nice. Fried chicken was seasoned well but very dry. Everything else seemed like it came straight out of a freezer at Costco.

Service and ambiance saves the place. Next time im out ill give the chicken another try.“

“El Taco Ole is a great spot for tasty tacos in Montauk. The flavors are excellent, and the food definitely stands out. There’s plenty of outdoor seating for nice days and lots of tables inside as well, making it easy to find a comfortable place to sit. The customer service was friendly and helpful, which added to the overall experience.

It is on the pricier side — I paid about $71 for five tacos plus chips and guac, which felt a bit expensive for the quantity. But after tasting the food, it was hard to complain too much because the quality really delivered.

“Finally.......good Brooklyn Pizza in Montauk!!! Thin crust, extremely fresh tasting tomatoes and great seasoning. I grew up on DiFara's in Brooklyn (Avenue J) and let me tell you...this is as close as it comes. Welcome to Montauk Fierro's !!!“

“The atmosphere is seaside casual. An open floor plan exists with a nice bar on one side. It’s airy inside with high ceilings. The food and service is always great. The specials are always a delight. Prices are moderate and fair. Portions are generous.“

“Say it isn't so! One of the last great iconic locations has bitten the dust. This might be the last year for topside as a restaurant group from the city has leased out the building. Every year for the last 7 years , friends and i would go to the best view in Montauk to have great rum punches and mudslides as well as sushi and the famous lobster tacos. Casual and cool it was a unpretentious place that cried old Montauk. So if you get a chance have French Julie make you a drink as you watch the boats go by before it becomes a super high end restaurant or club.“
