“We love going to Capelettis — it’s a charming local restaurant that always makes you feel welcome. The owner and chef, Luigi, always greets you with a smile when you walk through the door, which makes the experience feel very personal and special.
He is an amazing chef — the pasta fagioli soup is the best, and everything is always delicious. The staff couldn’t be nicer, and the whole place has a very homey, local feel.

“Driving around after setting up a display at a golf course we came across this little gem in Sag Harbour. I had three tacos; chicken, chorizo and beef. All were delicious. The portions were spot on. My colleague had a burrito and quesadilla. Both look amazing. Fresh tasting great quality ingredients. My pictures aren’t the best as we could wait to eat! Must try take away if you’re near.“

“I went in to order skewers, french fries, and sesame chicken on the fourth of July. The workers were so caring and made sure that all of the items that I got was correct and fresh. The french fries were so crispy and on the inside perfectly soft. Skewers were packed with protein and the sesame chicken had a great sauce. I would come back, right next to the fireworks as well!“

“From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by what was quite possibly the most patient host I've ever seen. She was managing a huge crowd with a smile on her face, even while dealing with guests insisting they were owed a table when they weren't. She handled everything with professionalism and kindness.

Once we were seated, we were lucky enough to have Omar as our server, and he was easily the best server in the restaurant. He made sure our table was well taken care of, checked in at the right times, and everything came out promptly, exactly the kind of service we were hoping for. The next time I come back, I'll definitely be asking for Omar.

And the food? I can't lie.. it was absolute FIRE. I'd give the meal an 8/10 overall. Every dish at our table was solid, and I don't think there was a single bad plate.

There was Not a lot of people for lunch on a weekday when we came either and

“It is one of the best and most upscale wineries on Long Island. The wine selection is very large with some great roses, whites and reds. They also have a very delicious sake cider. “went with 2 other people, and one of the burgers was undercooked (she asked for no pink and there was a lot of pink). the cheese part of the mac and cheese was pasty, like it was a bechamel sauce with extra flour on instead of a mornay sauce, aka they did the flour butter and milk but added no actual cheese to it. the fries were tasty and the burgers were well seasoned. i wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.“

“Hellenic in East Marion was incredible! This was my first Greek meal in 5 years since before my diagnosis. I haven't been able to eat safe from cross contamination gluten free Greek food and today I was sooo happy! Hellenic makes their own gluten free pita bread. It was so good that I bought some frozen gluten free pita to go. We went to the farms today so we just kept driving but it will be a great place to go before or after taking the ferry to Connecticut in the future as it’s on the way. I wish it was closer to central/western Suffolk. I can’t wait to go back.“

“This little hole-in-the-wall spot really blew me away! The crab cakes were a little on the mushy side, but the Shrimp Scampi was absolutely phenomenal—quite possibly the best I’ve ever had! It was packed with flavor and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I’d honestly come back just to have that dish all over again! And even though this is a seafood spot, the fried chicken was another surprise—juicy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu! “Very accommodating to our large group, reasonably priced with large portions compared to many options on Shelter Island. Friendly and fast service. I enjoyed the hummus wrap with sweet potato fries as a vegan option from the lunch menu. It was delicious and fresh! I would love to see a vegan option on the breakfast menu as well (eg, avocado or hummus toast with a side of home fries, fruit, etc). Kids menu was also large and generously portioned.“

“Stopped in for lunch yesterday. It was a beautiful, cool shady spot on a quaint island porch. The lunch was all home-made and fresh even down to the English muffins. “Had a great lunch for 4 on the outside tables off the sidewalk. Mahi mahi tacos and reubens were excellent. The cucumber salad was almost as good as my grandmother's. The German potato salad would have been better if it wasn't served lukewarm. Our server, I believe his name was Alex, did a good job answering questions. Service was prompt.“

Freshest clams ever, with Phill shucking non-stop for our guests. The lobster was good and the steak was excellent. Tables were beautifully set with lanterns and torches down the beach plus a giant bonfire! Best for me: they did EVERYTHING PERFECTLY, so we really got to socialize with our friends. Our guests were raving, (even our most jaded Hamptons friends). This was an event to remember and I will always be thankful to Capt. Phil and his extraordinary team!“

I had my birthday dinner at Topping Rose House, and it was an amazing experience—just like every other time we’ve been there. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Our waitress was so kind and patient, even with our little toddler being a bit wild! Gerry was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They even brought out a dessert with a candle for me, which was such a sweet touch. Overall, a wonderful experience—I’d recommend this place 100%!“

“It was a wonderful evening in many ways! We arrived about 15 minutes early. We were escorted to our table. Turned out that we requested another one and we were then seated at another table. Server immediately came to our table. We ordered cocktails- Sag Harbor Sangria which was amazing. Fabulous appetizers- which were shared among the three of us- Brussel sprouts, shishito peppers and Salad. The main course was delish Halibut! Our server was very attentive throughout our meal. “Greenport Distilling and Bar is no longer in Greenport. It has recently reopened on the site of One Woman Winery at 5195 Old North Road in Southold. In addition to great cocktails based on their own gin, vodka and bourbon, you can also opt for a variety of One Woman wines.
They are open every day except Tuesday from 11:30AM to 6:00PM. On Fridays, they stay open for Jazz Night from 6:00 to 9:00.
The musicians vary from week to week but they have all been good. What does not vary is the quality of the cocktails, wines and delicious snacks. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The newly renovated barn provides an impressive and comfortable environment to relax and enjoy.“
