“The Shipwright's Daughter came highly recommended to us by locals we had talked with while vacationing in Mystic, and it did not disappoint. We booked a reservation for 7:15pm on a Saturday evening, and we were seated promptly at 7:15. From the hosts initial greeting, to our server first introducing herself at the table, every staff member made us feel welcomed. It was lovely. The cocktail my girlfriend ordered and the local draft I ordered were both outstanding. Our appetizers of Oysters on the Half Shell and a Yellowfin Tar Tar served on a Potato Pavé, were both so delicious, full of flavor, and beautiful. Our entrees consisted of the Zucchini Bucatini and the Duck Confit special, and both came out perfect. The seasoning, the cook of the duck, the plating were all immaculate. It's very clear the staff takes pride in their work, and make sure the guests have an outstanding experience. We finished with dessert, a Plum Sorbet Pavlova with a Peach Reduction, an Espresso Martini, and an Irish Coffee. We were finished with our meal and drinks and on our way by 8:20pm. All in all, it was the best experience I've had in a restaurant. The meals were phenomenal, the staff was top tier ( I apologize I can not remember our waitresses name, but she was outstanding), and the overall experience was more than I could have hoped for. If you are traveling to the mystic area, and you want to have an outstanding dining experience, this is the place for it“

“Our server Randi was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She is a real p.lus for your business. The firecracker shrimp was amazing.“

“So very disappointed. Was there with a disabled person and treated terribly by customers and wait staff. Food was not good and service was terrible. Have been there previously and had a much better experience. I am not sure what changed but definitely will not go back or recommend this place if the same rude waitress is there. Bonus: Their lunch smash burger, with an extra patty if it doesn’t already have one, with the patties well done is probably the best “upscale” smash burger from a true sit down spot I’ve had. And I don’t think there are many people out there who have had more smash burgers all over the U.S. than me 😂“

“Absolutely wonderful! We did a lobster bake for six plus bought cod and shrimp. Everyone agreed it was the best they had. Everything was hot and delicious without being overcooked. The shrimp was so sweet. Great find will will definitely have them cook for us again!!!“

“I've only been here a few times, but I can confidently say that the staff is always extremely welcoming, friendly, warm, and pleasant. I've never had a bad time or inconvenience there. There are decent options for food and drinks... I have yet to try something I don't like. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and comfortable. “Delicious Treats at Sift Bake Shop – Mystic! 🥐🍰

My husband, our fur daughter Chewie, and I spent 4 days and 3 nights in CT, and before heading back yesterday to NJ, we stopped by Sift Bake Shop in Mystic. It was our first time there, and WOW—everything looked so good! I ended up spending almost $90! 😆 Since we’re not from CT and didn’t know what to order, I asked one of the servers for her recommendations, and I followed most of her suggestions. I don’t know the names of everything I ordered, but I took pictures so I can remember them! 😂
This morning for brunch, my mother-in-law and I had the ham and cheese croissant, and it was HUGE and absolutely delicious! 😋 Everything looked so fresh and tempting, and I’m sure the rest of what I ordered will be just as delicious. I honestly can’t wait to try everything!
Such a great find in Mystic, and we’re so glad we stopped by before heading home. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in CT! ❤🥐“

“This is one of my favorite places! I love their cabbage grinders, so instead of shredded lettuce, I get shredded cabbage. It gives your grinder that extra crunch. Their grinder rolls are the best around here. They don't get soggy and they taste great!“

“The food was absolutely fabulous. Quite filling and satisfying to have any type of day. I came when it was cloudy, which is good weather for a soup. A lot of tofu in the soup, but is fine with what you wanted. The dessert was so filling and unique for fried bananas. Will come again, but not during tourist season, hahahaha.“

Here’s how it all went down: 1️⃣ Wood-Fired Wings (Buffalo) - $15.95 BOMB! 💣 Eight perfectly wood-fired wings- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with buffalo sauce that hits just right. The blue cheese dressing deserves its own shoutout 💣😎 2️⃣ Oma’s Real Meatball Sandwich- $17.50 BOMB! 💣 These wood-roasted, hand-rolled meatballs were full of flavor and smothered in rich pomodoro sauce, tucked inside toasted rustic bread with melted provolone and parmesan.
