“Went here on a date with my girlfriend. Kristen and TJ were our servers and so helpful and kind, amazing service and atmosphere! Some of the best food I've ever eaten! It's worth every penny! If you are ever in Mystic, CT, I highly recommend this place with every fiber of my being. I got their grilled salmon special, and it was the best salmon I have ever had. It's so good that if I wasn't so full after having it(which is one of the best signs of good food), I would've gone for seconds. Check this out if you love seafood and even if you don't! ???“
“Can only comment on a few items... Buttery smooth lattes with the Canyon Coffee they use. Great Chicken Salad sandwich! Really good Rotisserie Chicken and sides. Drip coffee is really good too. Egg sandwich is a tad bland, but solid. Staff is always really friendly.“

I have never fasted before and am presently finishing my last green juice on my third day, before the grand finale of the cashew mylk drink, and I feel like I have really done something worthwhile. “Went here twice. One night for dinner and the next day for breakfast. Breakfast food was better than dinner food.Great menu though, lots of choices/options.Waitresses were great at both meals very nice and efficient.The night we went to dinner, the ATM machines were down and they were only taking cash. We were fine with us but should have been told to us before we were seated and the waitress took our drink orders and said, “oh by the way…”.I gave it a 4/5 because of the overall cleanliness especially in the bathroom. I used the restroom earlier in the meal and let someone know if the concerns. When my family went at the end of the meal, the concerns were not addressed and when it was mentioned again, it did not seem important to the staff person who was less than friendly about the concern being brought to her attention.“
“Delicious hot lobster roll! The ambiance is wonderful. As a visitor to Connecticut, they made me feel right at home and recommended all kinds of places for me around Mystic. Yahtzee behind the bar was so gracious and sweet. It’s a must stop in town for a bite and a brew!“

“We have been coming to Muddy Waters Cafe for last couple of years every Sunday. The atmosphere is lively ( college & Coast Guard students ) and although usually crowded, the line moves quickly. Great egg sandwiches on fresh bagels, pastries, sandwiches and salads. Tomato soup is delicious. The back deck is wonderful to watch activity in the harbor and Amtrack trains. Hopefully it will reopen soon after a fire in their basement . The employees are friendly and very efficient. Totally recommend if in New London.“
“My husband and I have getting cakes, cookies and cupcakes from Vesta for years. They are always accommodating. The prices are the best you will find with a real baker who puts her heart into all she makes. Recently we ordered some sugar cookies for My moms birthday. I wanted red cardinal's and italian horns. She nailed it better then I could of imagined. White sugar cookies with gold italian horns with gold powder. BEAUTIFUL. I got them in honor of my grandmother that just past. They made My mom cry.So happy to have them in town from Saturday morning pastries to special occasions cakes. Best around!Parking: Lots of spots on both sides of the road. “Gabriella was great to work with for our wedding in August 2023! We visited the bakery to pick up a sampling of cakes/fillings/frostings and everything was delicious. We chose our options and emailed her and she confirmed right away. We ordered a small two-tier cake for us and a small one-tier cake for my parents, whose 50th anniversary was a week after our wedding. Both cakes were delivered on time and looked beautiful, and were exactly what we were hoping for! I'd recommend this bakery to anyone planning a wedding in the area!“

“The Fisherman is our go to for date night, the servers and managers are so personable and the food is great! Zach, the head chef, went the extra mile to come say hi and ask us how our specials were. Their jumbo coconut shrimps are one of our favorites, and the home made pickles on their burgers are some of the best I’ve had. This is worth the few extra miles to the water front, and definitely the place to be for outdoor dining when the patio is available!“
“We were craving ice cream so I went on Yelp! Everything was a million miles away except Mel's Creamery. So after reading the reviews I was confused. So completely different. But it was the only option close to us so we took the risk. SO GLAD WE DID!Unlike other reviewers I found the place to be super clean and so 50's it was so fun!!The young lady waiting on us was nice though a little shy. I ordered a banana split and my friend a strawberry sundae, ( we like the classics). She started making mine, or what I thought was mine and asked if I wanted hot fudge and of course I said yes! Then as I was watching her I realized it was my friends sundae, my friend can't eat chocolate. So I stopped her. So got confused. So to save her embarrassment I just said to make two Strawberry sundaes one with chocolate fudge and one without. No big deal. We thanked her and left to eat them in the car. BOY DID I NOT MISS THE BANANA SPLIT!! Both our sundaes were FANTASTIC!! Every bite we said "yum!" Out loud!Highly recommend! We're just going to order one at a time in the future.“

Lastly, the gluten free (and vegan!) chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies were phenomenal! Staff was happy to help with any questions we had about allergens in the food and everything was ready in less than five minutes. The little outside seating area was cute and the location was easy to get to, but far enough away from the noise on the main strip of stores.Dietary restrictions: They have clearly labeled gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian options. Staff also has easy access to a book with all allergy information for all menu items.“
