I felt bad for our waitress for getting yelled at by the cook in an open kitchen establishment just for informing chef that an order was to go but the manager or possibly the owner, stepped in and handled it appropriately. “We had a two delicious meals. The duck was crisp and not fatty. I had the special with roasted potatoes and spiraled veggies with a delicious sauce. My husband thought his paella was very good. This new restaurant’s staff and owners try very hard to please their customers. We will definitely be back!“

“I’ve driven by multiple times and finally had a chance to stop in for an early dinner. Upon entering the hostess was very pleasant and took me to the front patio area. I also immediately recognized the pomodoro and garlic smell that is distinctive of high end Italian restaurants. The waiter was just as pleasant and recognized that I was from out of town ( must have seen my plates on my car ). The bread and smoky EVOO was a great touch. There were multiple menu items I wanted to try but decided that this visit would be the old faithful Chicken Parm. It absolutely did not disappoint. Arrived perfectly prepared from the kitchen and as accompanied by home made spaghetti. One of the best prepared chicken parms I’ve had on the East coast. Skipped dessert but will be back to try more! Bravo !!“

“We had a wonderful experience. Farm to table fresh. The shrimp and crabmeat chowder was the best we have ever had. Made with fresh cream and butter and lots of shrimp and real sweet crabmeat. (Many places add whitefish but this was all wonderful crabmeat). The flatbread and the coconut curry dish were also spectacular and we also enjoyed them for lunch the next day. It was nice and slow and relaxed, with a wonderful atmosphere and nice music. Very pleasant servers and atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely evening. Will definitely be back!“

“Staff is always very friendly. The food is great. I do not usually order pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs am very picky about both and am usually let down. But East Lyme Pizza, has the best in the area. Very flavorful! I will be a repeat customer for sure!“

“So, we get takeout from here at least 3-4x per month- and have been for years. Also, we live closer to Tolland so it's about a 50 min drive for us to do this. I can honestly say no one I know has ever had a bad meal/experience here. Never have had to wait over the anticipated time for our order. We have never had an issue where we haven't received everything ordered and they always put our order in a box for easy carrying. The large salads are absolutely on point! The "extras" you can add for a nominal fee are absolutely worth it- as is the grilled or crispy chicken additions. The pizza is always plentiful if you walk in for a slice. Grinders are excellent. I don't understand the only option of seeded bread for toasted sandwiches, but I still enjoy them- although I do wish there were an option. The meatballs are the only meatballs that I've ever eaten in a restaurant that are reminiscent of my now deceased grandmother. In fact, my mother says they taste exactly like her mother's meatballs! I always order a side of balls- and eating one is like a comforting hello from her! The garlic knots- oh the knots- they're...well, no words. Just try them. I'm really into their pasta sauce- and I can honestly say I don't like many restaurants since I always make my own but this one I can eat by the spoonful. It's not too bitter or too sweet! The dessert selection is great! If you're planning to order online, order food only and then when you go in to do the pick up check out the dessert case. There are so many more options in the restaurant than there is online. This is what we always do. There are 2 parts to the restaurant. The pickup quick cafe side and the sit down restaurant side. We don't really ever eat in but it's a cute little Italian place. The cafe portion is busier (in times I've been there) with traffic going in and out- but I have seen people eating in there as well. That side gives me more of a pub/cafe vibe. I don't understand all the crappy reviews. If anything, this place has gotten better with time. The quality of food is great. Food always cooked the way you order it. Pizza isn't undercooked or burned. Chicken is never chewy. Eggplant isn't stringy. Salad is ALWAYS super fresh, as are the toppings. Don't think I've ever gotten one piece of brown or slimy lettuce! It's a 10 from me!“

“This place is always consistently great! The staff are very kind & polite & the service is fast, efficient, thorough & seamless. The food is DELICIOUS! The interior is simple, informal, clean & straightforward. A bit of a modern feel with Formica tables with plastic booths. Typical daylight lighting. There is simple audible (but not too loud) music overhead. Most of it is easy listening Asian music. They have Thai, Japanese & Chinese menu selections here. All executed extremely well! “We held a Celebration of Life event (for my Mom) at the restaurant a few weeks ago and it was a huge success . . . thanks to all the efforts of the staff at Flanders Fish Market & Restaurant! Devon and Jennaya were awesome in helping us plan out all the logistics, menu, and room set-up. Day of event, Julie and Zack were fantastic hosts to our group of nearly 70 people. They were extremely accommodating in our tweaks to the room set-up, and their service during the entire 3-hours was fabulous. The icing on the cake was the food, which was delicious. We served Fish & Chips and clear broth chowder, which was my Mom’s favorite meal. It was truly a memorable event for everyone who attended and I can’t say enough about the staff! Well done all-around!!“

“We ordered 4 combo meals and 2 other meals but they were still ready in the promised 20 minutes. One meal was required to be "gluten free" and it was handled without issue. Friendly employees. The storefront and counter were neat and clean.“

“We had a phenomenal experience here for dinner. The food was delicious and the prices were beyond reasonable. We had lasagna and stuffed flounder that were both great. And most of all, the service was amazing. Everybody was kind and welcoming, especially our server Kaitlyn, she was so kind and attentive.“

“Had lunch here after kayaking and I could not love the ambiance more. There's an attached greenhouse that is such a cozy vibe I cannot wait to go back. Cute outdoor area w fire pit as well and I hear they have great karaoke. We got malt fries and they were a perfect start! Salty and malty and still crispy! I got raspberry jalapeño burger. Came with bacon, grilled jalapeños and strawberry jam. Burger was cooked perfectly on a toasty roll. Bacon was crispy and salty and put against spicy jalapeños and sweet raspberry jam there was nowhere to go but flavor town after one bite. We tried the malt salt wings and they were crispy and full of flavor too. Bartender was on his own and took a triple seating when we arrived and he handled it perfectly! Food was quick and hot and we didn't want for anything. A great find and we will def be back to try more of their huge burger menu“
