“So very disappointed. Was there with a disabled person and treated terribly by customers and wait staff. Food was not good and service was terrible. Have been there previously and had a much better experience. I am not sure what changed but definitely will not go back or recommend this place if the same rude waitress is there. “Visiting the area for one day/night and selected Hoof’s for dinner off of Google Maps, restaurants near. We were not disappointed! We sat at the bar for dinner and we each had a glass of wine. The bar tender was a very friendly charismatic guy who took great care of us! He started us with great tasting crusty bread with flavored butter and amazing olive oil. We got an order of oysters rockerfeller which were yummy, then split a cesaer salad which was so crunchy and fresh. Our main dishes were very, very tasty. When we arrived around 5:30 on a Friday there were a few diners, but when we left they were nearly full. I can see why! DELICIOUS!!!“

“My husband and I stopped here for the first time today and we were very satisfied with the food and service. while we waited for our meatball grinders we were offered a sample of their pea soup and it was the best we've ever had! that's saying something because I've always thought my mom's was the best. we ate our grinders until we were about to burst and they wrapped our leftovers for us. the best part about that is when we went back to eat them, our grinders were labeled "his :)" and "hers :)". we will definitely be eating here again!“

We tried the octopus salad, spaghetti carbonara, chicken marsala, penne boscaiola, and Sam had penne & meatballs. All of these dishes were fresh and clean tasting and full of flavor. You can honestly taste the love. We all felt as if we were in their home. -get the tiramisu! With the first bite, you can tell it’s homemade and literally, it’s phenomenal! Veronica & Carmine are a beautiful, talented couple from a tiny island off Sicily. They both worked in restaurants in New Haven and brought their culinary expertise to Groton. “I have eaten at most of the restaurants in Southeastern CT, and have found that LA LUNA RISTORANTE & LOUNGE in New London is head and shoulders above the rest! The menus is diverse, and food and drinks are always good and presented professionally. The dining atmosphere is pleasant with table cloths, and low lighting on each table. Plus they have live music on most Fridays from 6-9 pm. Try them out...you won't be disappointed!“

“I recently tried the Italian Combo at Golden Pizza Restaurant and it absolutely delivered. The sandwich was loaded with fresh deli meats, perfectly sliced cheese, crisp lettuce, and ripe tomatoes, all brought together with just the right amount of oil and seasoning. Every bite had great flavor and balance.

What really stood out was the size. This thing was huge and easily one of the most filling sandwiches I’ve had in a while. You definitely get your money’s worth.

“Love Ballo but really disappointed with how much the menu keeps changing. They charge now for house bread and took off the garlic bread. Got rid of shrimp scampi. Now got rid of chicken francaise which was Amazing there and our go to. Also used to have an amazing cheese and meat platter appetizer and that was removed. Wish some of those would be put back on. With so much change there really isn’t anything appealing to me now. This was our spot for anniversaries, birthdays, and lots of date nights.“

“My first time at Todd English’s Tuscany, and I went for brunch and honestly, I’m glad I finally made it. I’ve lived in Norwich my whole life and somehow had never been, but brunch definitely did not disappoint.

There was a great variety of food, with so many options that it was honestly hard to decide where to start. I loved being able to try a little bit of everything, from the savory brunch dishes to the pastries, desserts, and everything in between. The variety made it easy to keep going back for “just one more plate.”

The food was flavorful and well presented, and I really enjoyed the overall quality and selection. It’s the kind of brunch where you can take your time, try different things, and actually enjoy the experience rather than feeling rushed.

The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone was attentive and made the experience feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was beautiful and definitely added to the brunch experience.

For my first visit, Tuscany left a really good impression. I honestly don’t know how I’ve lived in Norwich this long without going, but I’m glad I finally did. Definitely a brunch spot I’d come back to, especially with so many more dishes I still want to try.“

It was loaded with chicken, candied walnuts, raisins. I added feta cheese to mine. The balsamic dressing is awesome!“
