“On a yacht delivery from Ft Lauderdale to P'Town. Stopped in for the night (late June 2023) and needed a good dinner. Saw this cute/unique restaurant on way to the typical fried seafood place down the road. Didn't care for the "attitude" and decided to come back to Rooted - so glad we did. Great food, smoked Old Fashion was beyond delicious, and our server Masha and bartender Sarah went above and beyond to make our dinner experience great. Small, only a few tables, which allows for the chef to cook the food to perfection. Highly recommended and will come back on next trip.”

“We walked in as a large group on Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend. We were looking for some light appetizers and drinks. Well, we just kept ordering food, that’s how amazing and fresh it was! So delicious, and not heavy food either. Drinks were great, service was fabulous, and the live music was so enjoyable. I’m shocked this place wasn’t packed, but it worked out for us! We are all still talking about it days later. We’ll definitely be back when we return to Montauk!”

“Every single year me and my family (and their friends) go here! Its so amazing. We leave the beach and walk here, eat, then walk back. The ONLY thing is that there arent enough tables which forces you to go to the taco place sit (outside). The lady working at the taco place told us we had to get up, even though no one was waiting. I know at happy bowls, there isnt enough space outside for more tables, so i fully understand. Overall amazing!!! 10/10”

“Visiting Montauk - found it online and been twice now. Just behind main street. Take out or eat casually on benches outside. Wide range of seafood options. Loving the Lobster Bisque and the Hooked House salad is a real must. Check it out - you will not be disappointed.”

“I stayed here two nights in late September 2024 for a wedding. Unfortunately it was pretty windy and rainy but the staff did a great job at putting the wedding in a tent instead. Very classy and very cool.

For the rooms, good accommodations, not that I would ever use the mini fridge but check out those prices crazy! WiFi was very weak and not much signal around but tv in the room.
My neighbor lost his power after using tv e ironing board and it was not fixed after many hours so we found the circuit breaker and were able to fix it ourselves.
Good clean cozy romantic. Really nice shower

You should have a car if you are going to be staying here as it is a bit of a ways from town, but an easy half mile walk to the beach at ditch plains”

“The atmosphere is seaside casual. An open floor plan exists with a nice bar on one side. It’s airy inside with high ceilings. The food and service is always great. The specials are always a delight. Prices are moderate and fair. Portions are generous.”

“Montauk Market has been a favorite spot for me and my family when visiting Montauk. The food is fresh and the service is friendly. My go to are the breakfast sandwiches and the taco ole burrito. Kids love all the smoothies too which is a plus!”

“Back again. Wouldnt exactly call this place famous. Not exactly up to par with other food establishments using th3 word famous. But ok. My boy says th3 bagel is as good as he would expect this far away from NYC. I did like how they fill tge bagel hole with creme cheese. Seemed like xtra cream cheese portion.
Equally as impressed is the coffee set up. Particularly the ice coffee that is serve your own. Lrg ice for me all th3 way. Ice machine delivered plenty of ice. Good size cubes. Coffee good. Selection of milk adequate.
