“From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by what was quite possibly the most patient host I've ever seen. She was managing a huge crowd with a smile on her face, even while dealing with guests insisting they were owed a table when they weren't. She handled everything with professionalism and kindness.

Once we were seated, we were lucky enough to have Omar as our server, and he was easily the best server in the restaurant. He made sure our table was well taken care of, checked in at the right times, and everything came out promptly, exactly the kind of service we were hoping for. The next time I come back, I'll definitely be asking for Omar.

And the food? I can't lie.. it was absolute FIRE. I'd give the meal an 8/10 overall. Every dish at our table was solid, and I don't think there was a single bad plate.

I always look forward to getting the Number 19 sandwich—it's simply amazing. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and it's a satisfying, delicious meal every time. Pair that with their incredible mango smoothie, and you've got a match made in heaven. The smoothie is so fresh, thick, and perfectly sweet.

If you're looking for great food and a wonderful spot to eat, I highly recommend checking out Hampton Chutney!”

Helen the GM goes above and beyond to make sure Smokey Buns not only runs smoothly but is a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. “Best local coffee shop run by the friendliest people! Comes with nice selection of art books, and small selection of groceries, house wares, and clothing. Very short term bench seating only (no tables). Please don't come here with feisty fast-paced angry city vibes, slow down, it's small and it's sometimes hard to park during busy times of year (summers / weekends), so just relax!!”

Watching the family work the counter in a busy night when the working people of the area are picking up orders is actually great. “Do not eat here. We waited two hours for pasta and tomato sauce. Manager came over and made tons of excuses but never apologized. Tiny portions and totally overpriced. We live in San Francisco and eat at high end restaurants all the time and this place is a joke.”

“The beef was amazing. Chicken could have a little more flavor but the green sauce came in to save the day. Potatoes packed with flavor. Plantains on point. Rice is wow. “Had the chance to visit Sam’s last week and happy to report it’s still the same classic, family friendly spot it always has been. The minute you walk in the doors, all the great memories come flooding back. Our food (four cheese pie with chicken and the linguine with locally caught seafood) was delish! Our server was lovely. I also got a vodka martini that was perfect. Looking forward to coming back later this summer!”

We had the branzino and lamb chops which were both fresh and delicious. We both said we had absolutely no complaints, but the “very pricey” reviews were definitely exactly “ on the money” $$$$$. But again everything else NO COMPLAINTS!!!”

Could be faster taking and fulfilling orders. Line, at times, could get long and takes a while to get to the window to order. They could use more help. Still, worth going.”
