Barbary is our favorite spot. We’ve now been 4 times in the past year. Now when we go other places my husband and I agree that we should have gone back to Barbary Coast!
Excellent service and delicious food—incredible flavors that are an absolute must-try. The spices they use are indescribable. It’s a five-out-of-five spot; if you’re visiting Mystic, you have to go there. Oh, and make sure to book a table, as the place isn't very big and—from what we could tell—it’s very popular.
Brand new and already one of mystics best restaurants, which is saying a LOT as a local.

Barbary Coast offers excellent food, atmosphere, and service in a small, casual setting. The menu features North African influenced cuisine, including oysters and small plates that are well spiced and generously portioned. The wine list is thoughtful, with wines by the glass, beers, and a French cider. The service is warm and friendly, and the vibe is friendly and unassuming. Guests enjoy unique cocktails, happy hour options, and save room for dessert after an incredible experience from start to finish.
