We went apple picking at Holmberg today, and somewhere between the rows of trees, I was reminded what the American dream really is.
It isn’t money, houses, or yachts. It’s watching your toddler hold up an apple and proudly call it a ball. It’s sharing a warm apple cider donut with sticky fingers and sugared smiles. It’s the crisp Fall breeze, the sound of families laughing, and friends pausing to say hi as they pass by.

live in mass but spend 6 months in ct. we stay very close to Clyde's who has good slushy but u beat their donuts hands down. yours are light on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside, the cinnamon sugar sticks better. theirs are heavy and too dence. now we drive the distance to u for a much better selection of hard ciders as well. well worth the trip!
A search for wineries near Norwich brought us to Holmberg Vineyard. Basically ended up being a little market showcasing their apple orchard products of pies and ciders, some local artisan foods and products and produce. They had their wines for sale but there was no tasting much to our disappointment-summer only.
