I had such an amazing experience at Sushi Koya at Mohegan Sun. From the moment I sat down, I knew it was going to be good. The sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and every roll was beautifully made. As someone who truly appreciates good sushi, I was honestly impressed with the quality of the fish and the attention to detail in every bite.
One standout for me was the scallop with uni appetizer — it was absolutely amazing and honestly unforgettable. Rich, delicate, and perfectly balanced, it completely elevated the meal for me.
The vibe was fun and upscale without feeling stuffy, and the service made the whole experience even better—friendly, attentive, and relaxed. This is definitely a spot I’ll come back to whenever I’m at Mohegan Sun. Highly recommend if you’re a sushi lover like me

Maki Mondays, they make up rules as the go. Must order and app alcoholic drink. Can't get this or that. Heard them tell multiple people different rules. I assume depending on group size. I eat sushi more than. I should.... this is overpriced and low quality, poorly maintained. Ending up 1/2 way through my meal throwing up in the bathroom. Zero prior symptoms. Zero after. I will NEVER return to this place. Ever.

Went for th sushi, hostess said they where full and to go next door, that they have almost the same menu. We went got seated and menu was seafood but no sushi. I went back to ask her about the menu she said oh im sorry you need to ask to be seated at the bar next door and ask for our menu. Wish they had a sign somewhere because another couple behind me had thr same issue. But overall it was good food.

I had the sashimi regular. It was certainly good, and needed to be as it costs twice what my local sushi place charges and doesn't come with miso soup or salad. It's in a casino so I understand that. What I didn't like is that the staff is from Summer Shack. They provided excellent service but. Summer Shack's uniforms are sportsball jerseys. Thats not what I expect from a sushi restaurant. I also had an awkward moment where I mistook the hostess for another patron. Maybe a good old branded polo shirt would make things clearer?

Solid sushi spot, I asked for no avocado on my roll which they did no problem. Location along the mall walkway makes it a bit noisy so try to avoid the seats along the wall if you dont want to hear people talking walking by.

Sushi Koya is always a great experience. The sushi is top-notch, and the oysters are just as good—they offer a variety from different spots on the East Coast, which is a nice touch. The service is consistently great, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. They’ve also got a solid drink menu with a good variety. On top of all that, the atmosphere is really nice, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Definitely a go-to spot for sushi
Delicious sushi! I ordered the Salmon Blue Crab, Gyoza, and Sushi Deluxe. It’s a bit pricey, but everything was excellent! The service was great, and the atmosphere was both comforting and aesthetic. I highly recommend!

Enjoyed a nice meal. We basically walked in and we're seated. Arrived late... Ambiance is nice but the sound system was a touch loud. Cosi spot.Edamame appetizer was good. A little salty. Server was nice. My roll was very good. A spicy crunchy tuna. The sashimi salmon was served very chilled, good color, and smooth.The volcano roll was liked by all.Lobster roll was okay.Skipped desert. Sorry.
