Dee's One Smart Cookie Bakery

Update: I came back after a few years, and they have personnel taking the orders now who actually seem to know what they are talking about. Much improved!

They messed up my order and gave me full size cupcakes instead of mini cupcakes. I was wondering why it was so expensive when I prepaid, but I figured times are tough and it must be inflation. They didn't offer me anything and just said sorry. Honestly this kind of ruins my event because I really needed them to be mini cupcakes. Often when I've called in orders I've been unsure about the folks answering the phone and taking the order understanding what's going on and I think this is proof that they sometimes do not. Their products are really good but I'm just very disappointed with my order that I paid a lot of money for not being what I wanted. Other similar bakeries have been popping up so I might have to try out one of those instead.

We have a ton of allergies in my family. We worked out a whole plan for a wonderful duck cake that seemed to fill all allergy needs. After all this work I learned my daughter-in-law- the Honoree- needed to also be low glycemic. WE had to throw all our plans away and start fresh. In the end we got adorable and very delicious cupcakes with duck adornment, that fit all the food parameters! We also got some very delish cherry bars. People loved the desserts. And I got some phenomenal gluten free whoopie pies all for me and my elderly mother. Thanks for the wonderful job, Dee's!!

Very Disappointing! We drove from Southington to check out this bakery. It said it was open until 3pm, we showed up at a little after 1 and it was closed. I would suggest calling before coming out here as they seem to not go by their posted hours.

I was in here recently, and about 75% of the baked goods were vegan. Everything is gluten-free. It’s a pretty spectacular place. I had a blueberry muffin and I completely forgot that it was even gluten-free because the texture is more like a non-gluten-free product. The place has a great reputation and we have ordered birthday cakes here over the years.

Bought a 6 in carrot cake for a b day and was told to leave the cake out at room temp for 2-3 hours before cutting. Did exactly that and the cake was very crumbly and the filling was hard. It was very hard to get cut a decent slice to serve without it falling apart. After serving out half the cake I laid the cake down in the box that in came in because the cake was too tall to close. They gave the cake to me in a box with the lid half open and a sheet of saran wrap taped to it to cover the open half. Before storing I saran wrapped the entire box. Next day I cut a piece through the middle and it was still crumbly with hard filling. I sent an email to the owner and she voicemailed me assuming I dropped the cake. I called back to try to explain exactly how I handled the cake and she interrupted me half way and didn’t let me fully explain. She issued me a refund but later sent me an email assuming I made a “comedy”(as she stated) of storing and cutting errors. She was very rude and had zero accountability for the matter. She made a plethora of assumptions about what happened without caring to hear me out. I chose not to respond to the email since I got a refund but just wanted to put this out there in case anyone was thinking about ordering a cake for a special occasion.

I pre ordered a Carrot Cake from Dees' for my daughters' birthday celebration. They had the cake finished a few hours earlier than I had been told it would be ready and they called me to tell me so which was very helpful. Not only was the cake extremely beautiful it was absolutely delicious as well. Once it was brought out and served everyone was complimenting it for its' beautiful design and delicious flavor. I expect to be ordering more cakes from Dees' in the future. Thank you Dees' !!!

Don't know, went into this gluten free vegan BAKERY,and they don't have baked goods. Their part time baker was on vacation.

The best allergy-friendly bakery in the I-91 corridor area! The staff are super friendly and accommodating. All the items are marked vegan or regular (ie contains eggs), and everything is gluten free and dairy free. It's the perfect walk-in takeout bakery, no seating, but the quality of the products make up for the ambiance. I didn't have a legit cupcake with buttercream till coming here! Professional baking done right. So yummy!
