The all you can eat sushi here is pretty good, the atmosphere is decent, and the staff is polite. Why a 3 star then? Food came out so slowly that I forgot what I ordered and lost appetite. Make sure to take a picture of what you ordered so you remember if anything was not delivered. Would not be coming back despite the good sushi.

Service. The server was really polite and helpful. The owner or manager completely rude. This is the second incident, the first I let it go because it was understandable. First time we got our check. And we paid it all in cash and walked out. The owner/manager assumed we just walked out and ran out the store to tell us to pay. We politely said we paid cash. Mind you we left a decent tip. This second and last time, we ordered a ton of sushi. Ate it all but 4-6 pieces. You can say it was a roll. So we asked to get a box and we would pay not only the all you can eat but also to charge us for a roll and we would pay. He said he no. I said pay extra on top for the leftover. I don’t want it to go to waste. I understand if we ordered 3-4 full rolls and just wanted to take advantage. But it was not the case. This will be our last time. And we love the sushi here. Sad but I will be reviewing on all platforms and letting people know. This isn’t nice

Attached a photo of the dirty floor and the bucket they used to catch water from the leaky ceiling right next to us. Extremely bright and loud, terrible service, and the rolls are clearly pre-made based on how slimy the salmon I had was.I don't know what happened to this place over the last year, but I absolutely don't think anyone should visit

Honestly this was such a disappointing experience. Usually my boyfriend and I come here and it’s a great time but we came on a Saturday with my parents and sister and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at ANY restaurant. First, the owner clearly didn’t hire enough staff and has one woman running around as host, bartender, and waitress. We were sat down for over an hour and didn’t even get a quarter of the food we ordered and the stuff we DID receive wasn’t correct. When we told them a couple people had to leave because of timing, they gave us the check as if they were kicking us out?? After we explained everything, they gave us the food other people at our table ordered (we literally JUST explained to them they were leaving so we didn’t need their order) and after eating it anyway because I’m not trying to get charged for not finishing it, we asked for the check and for the rest of our food to not be made and the owner just laughed. Like sir…. You don’t know how to properly staff the restaurant you own?? I’m never ever coming back here again.

I have been to Min Ghung many times, but this last time we went was a bit disheartening. First, they repainted the place to be much brighter than the old red color, and I really think that takes away from the cozy/ warm atmosphere they had before. We also had a really terrible service experience. The orders took a while to come out which we knew and were fine with the wait. But no one checked in with us. We had to seek out waiters to get another all you can eat menu 2 times, no one ever brought it. Seemed like they didn’t have any waiters assigned to tables so it was extremely disorganized. I understand this could have just been a tough night, so I’ll give it one more try in the future because I do love the sushi!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Min Ghung with a group of friends, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As regular patrons of this restaurant, we have always been delighted with the delicious food and impeccable service, and this visit was no exception. First and foremost, I have to commend all the sushi chefs. They truly exceeded our expectations by creating the best sushi I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Each piece was expertly crafted, showcasing their culinary expertise and attention to detail. The freshness of the ingredients and the perfect balance of flavors in each bite were simply outstanding. If you're a sushi lover, Min Ghung, Glastonbury is an absolute must-visit. Despite being a small establishment, the restaurant exudes a cozy and comfortable ambiance. The intimate setting allows for a more personalized dining experience, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you're dining with a group of friends or having a quiet dinner for two, Min Ghung provides an ideal setting for an enjoyable evening. The service at Min Ghung is truly top-notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure that each guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. From the moment we stepped through the door until the time we left with satisfied stomachs, every interaction with the staff was pleasant and efficient. Overall, our dinner experience was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of superb sushi, cozy ambiance, and outstanding service left us with full stomachs and a sense of happiness and satisfaction. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience!!!

The only place to go to get Sushi in the area.10/10 sushi every time they do not miss! Rolls straight out of a magazine. The all you can eat is the best deal, come hungry! The building is a unique location, with a great selection of Sake too.Only thing to consider, is it gets busy as they have limited tables. So be patient on friday-saturday nights!

It saddens me to write this review of an ayce sushi place that I have visited almost annually since I found it on Yelp more than 8 years ago. I haven't been for more than 9 months and decided to come here as we were driving through the area. It used to be called Ming Ghung, and the name and the quality changed. My visit yesterday left me very sad that this place had gone so far downhill. The sushi/nigiri has turned into nothing but oversized rice balls with very thinly sliced and poor quality fish. The fish was not properly sliced or handled. Of the 3 pieces of yellowtail, only one was edible, the other two were stringy. The salmon was also cut improperly, but at least not stringy. The tuna was the worst. It was pink in hue, tasted sour and I had to spit it out. Really cannot say that was tuna, but some type of white fish dyed with pink food coloring. The worst was the 'spicy tuna' and 'spicy salmon' where 95% of it was some kind of fried rice crispy type crunch with little to no fish and they were not even spicy. It had the taste of bad frying oil. The tamago sushi was cut very thin in one, another one was cut twice the size, there was just no skills or consistency at all. The flying fish roe was nothing more than smelts roe (massgo and NOT tobiko). The spicy scallop nigiri is now a tiny piece of scallop sitting in a pool of spicy mayo with a 10 to 1 ratio of rice. to scallop. From the kitchen, the food has also gone downhill. Shu mai was stomach turning bad. I bit into this wrapped mush and had to spit it back out. The breading used to coat the fried oyster was so hard to bit into, I was afraid I would crack a tooth. The only decent items were the veggie tempura and the fried aged tofu. Miso soup was just okay. Kudos to the owner for honoring the 10% off when checking in with Yelp. Hence the two stars instead of one. But will not be coming back. I'd rather go to Sushi House, so that says alot.

This was my first ever All You Can Eat (AYCE) Sushi experience and it was amazing! The restaurant is super cute and cozy, and would make a great date spot. The AYCE Sushi includes hand rolls, special rolls, sashimi, ice cream, salads, and other appetizers. You are allowed to order three times, and as is typical at other AYCE places, you will get charged if you leave any food. The crab and seaweed salad was an amazing start to the meal. The special rolls were all really good and the quality of everything seemed great. I also really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki as a little bit of something different from the fish. At the time, they were running a buy one get one free deal on hot sake, and their house hot sake was very good. The service was also extremely fast and we were shocked at how quickly our special rolls came out. I highly recommend checking this place out and I look forward to checking out their regular menu at some point too.
