The management sucked, the food was fine but definitely not worth the price, always dead on there would definitely rather go anywhere else in Glastonbury
Beautiful atmosphere, great people, and delicious food!!!!
The dine-in experience was terrible! We previously ordered takeout twice. First time food was great. Second time not so great and the aged steak tasted terrible. Each take-out total over $240. At first Red Fox wasn’t our first choice but the place over was packed and two families were ahead of us waiting. We did not want to wait and stop by Red Fox for a quick eat.
We came in on a Friday night and waited over 50 minutes for 3 meals. The place was literally empty with two folks at the bar. Not a single table was occupied. Ordered two appetizers! They got our drink wrong! We ordered a cranberry juice but got Pineapple juice! The food came out cold. It was not edible and we ended up packing all to go.
Total bill came out $154 and we tips generously$40 cash. We felt bad for the waiter because the place was empty when we left.
My wife and I have been here twice, both times the food was excellent. Service was great as well.
Such a romantic place to go with your significant other! Food, drinks and service was incredible! Highly recommenddddd!
I don't know where to begin. Overall the experience was not good, for a premium steak house the quality of the cuts of meat were terrible, I ordered the 6oz filet, which was not a filet but something entirely different, I had trouble cutting through it with the steak knife, and was so chewy to the point I had to return it back to the kitchen. The 14 oz NY Strip was not much better but we managed to eat half of it before pushing it away. There are way better options for a good steak, just avoid this place.
Service very good both the Filet and Salmon were good. We also ordered the Hot Anti pasta for 2 not truly that great. The table we had constantly wobbled.
The restaurant is permanently closed - could not call or verify my reservation and had to find another place to take my wife for Valentine's Day
Admittedly it was a holiday Friday evening. With that said, there were large gaps in service, with the end of our meal (dinner plates cleared) including no contact from the waiter for over 20 minutes. We were going to have dessert, and elected not to after the long wait. I ordered filet mignon, medium, it was blood red center.
They were closed. We were on a tight schedule and had to rush to find somewhere else to eat. They need to update their OpenTable offerings.

Terrible experience. We used to come here for the Porterhouse for 2, but it’s been removed from the menu. Fine, we settled for two separate steaks. Tried ordering a Stella—out. Ordered calamari and fries—fryer was being cleaned. Asked for Gorgonzola mashed potatoes—out. Finally got our steaks; my ribeye was flavorless, and the cast iron plate was so cold I could hold it bare-handed. Overall, a massive disappointment. We won’t be back, which is a shame because we always looked forward to the Porterhouse here.
Menu in the restaurant was not the same online. If you are a prime steakhouse I would expect a prime steak and that was not the case. New York strip was tough in spots with a lot of grissle. My medium rare steak that cost $50.00 was cut uneven and was slightly overcooked in spots. Wine list was outstanding and the atmosphere was good. Too bad the food didn't stand up.
Definitely avoid. We came on a Friday night. Here are the lowlights:
1. Took 55 minutes to get two dinners and we were the only couple seated at any table.
2. No syrup for coke machine.
3. Bread was stale.
4. Beef was old and tough, hardly any chicken, and what was there was drowned in sauce to attempt a cover up.
5. Ordered a side dish and it was forgotten.
6. Other than 5-6 people at the bar, noone was seated at tables, we were it on a Friday night.
7. Staff were not friendly. Our waiter did show some empathy as he could tell we were disappointed but overall they had a poor vibe.
8. Menu was dirty and stained.
Avoid this restaurant.
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and it was great! The food/drinks/vibes we both give a 10/10 & they made us feel very special.
Steak was rare when I asked for medium well. They microwaved my steak to cook it longer. Not worth the cost for the quality.
