We have visited AJ's many times in the past and it's always been pretty good. On Sunday we stopped by and the restaurant was not busy at all. We placed our order and waited about 30 minutes before checking in with the waitress to ask about our order. She stated it would be ready soon. Fifteen minutes later, 45 minutes since placing order, we asked again. She came back from the kitchen and told us our food was "next in line" to be made. Obviously there was an error on the restaurant's part and after all that time we couldn't wait any longer and we told her to cancel the order since they hadn't even begun to cook it. Instead of being apologetic and admitting something went wrong, she made us pay for our two ice teas. This was such a turn off, we won't come back.

Large porch parking holds 50 plus vehicles. Hostess and wait staff professional, friendly, and fast moving. Large bar area open ceilings. Free peanuts. New England type roadhouse. Wished they had played some Doors! Clean bathrooms off bar area. Tables in bar area were sticky and as long as you don’t mind walking on peanut shells great place. If available choose Porch area. Dozen draft beers. Great cocktails. Food was very good. The French onion soup was cheesy and delicious. That’s a must. $90 2 people. Small house pizza thin crust hot not greasy. Very good. Shrimp app fantastic the broth is excellent wish I had more bread!

Fantastic food and great portions. Had their crispy fish sandwich (the portion was incredibly big!), bison burger (sourced locally and fresh), and fried mozzarella 'sticks.' Everything is great there and I can't wait to go back. Their special alcoholic beverages tend to be pretty sweet but pretty unique. Good service!

You get Beyond Bar Food at it BEST here. Mondays and Tuesdays here? Well, you'll wish to never eat fast food ever again. Slow down, roll in, or bike on over. This one is a CT landmark for food and drink.
