On route 4 in the center of the town is this small restaurant where we had lunch one day. There are just a few tables and a small counter near the kitchen. We ordered fish and chips, reuben sandwich, coffee and coca cola. The service was good from our friendly waitress. It’s simple tasty food in a no frills setting that filled us up.

Home grown restaurant the sort of small place that has mostly disappeared. Food is good with about the best breakfasts in the area, and the price is reasonable. Friendly service... expect to rub elbows with local tradesman on their way to work and soccer moms with their kids. Not fancy .....neighborhood good.

Stopped here on the way back from Lime Rock Park. Plenty of parking (we had our truck & camper). The staff was super friendly as soon as we walked in. They took our order right away & the food was out with in 5 mins, hot & perfectly done! We ordered 2 eggs, toast, home fries & sausage (2 large patties) & bacon (4 slices. My BF also ordered ONE pancake & it was HUGE! The food was all done to perfection & tasted amazingly good. We will definitely be back.

Just sat here for 10 minutes with my two kids (1.5 and 5) not even acknowledged. When she finally came to take our order she then says you're gonna have to wait for a while we're in the middle of doing orders (which is fine I get it) but someone could of told me this before I sat with 2 hungry kids for 10 mins. I don't know if it's because I'm not a regular or what but I felt really uncomfortable sitting there without even a hello. As a server myself I hope I never make my customers feel this way.

I know it's Covid, but was really hoping for more from our local (only option in town) breakfast spot. Wouldn't give me a glass of water, but gave me a community ketchup bottle. Had 3 omelettes on the menu, but were out of the one we wanted at 10:30 am. It was spinach. Ordered rye toast and received white. Ordered well done hash browns and received breakfast potatoes that were so crispy (well done) that I couldn't stick my fork in them - literally. Ordered sandwich from special board and it was tiny with brown lettuce and snack size (tiniest) bag of chips. But my can of coke was only $1.50. O yea and in the land of maple syrup received Kraft sugar water (syrup) for pancakes after watching a local walk in with a GALLON of fresh syrup. Not fun for $35, unfortunately. :(
