As a regular diner at Applausi, I can confidently say that if you want a great Italian meal and service, you can't miss with this restaurant. The food is authentic, the pasta is homemade , and the drinks are generous. Desserts are also delicious.

This is absolutely a fabulous restaurant. It is a simple understated atmosphere that makes its stunningly great food stand out all the more. You walk in and feel at home and comfortable with great service. I have eaten at great restaurants in dozens of countries. This is among the very top of those. Will keep going back.

Enjoyed a lovely evening dining at Applausi. Upon arrival we were seated at a nice table and ordered cocktails. Our shrimp appetizer was excellent, as was our entrees of tagliatelle pasta with lamb ragu and lobster raviolis. The glasses of wine suggested by our server paired well with both dishes. When in Old Greenwich in the future we will return.

Very nice space, casual elegance... good food, but the meals were small, I left hungry after paying $235 for two. We were a party of 10 so they added a tip, they added 50% tip to my bill so we had to have a discussion. Waiter said it was an honest mistake, maybe it was but that's not good either. Very loud on weekend, even with it being half empty. Owner (or manager) was there, but didn't bother to greet us or stop by our table. I can't think of any reason to go back.

Came here at 6p for a dinner for 3 and it was busy. Happy that I made a reservation beforehand because I'm unsure if I would have been able to walk in for a meal. There is a coat check upon entry which is a nice touch, but you can also just bring your coats to your seats. There is warm bread and olive oil served pretty quickly which was good. For an appetizer, we shared the La Parmigiana di Melanzane which was one of the best eggplant appetizers I've ever had. Very soft and tasty. We all really enjoyed it. For my meal, I ordered the Il Branzino del Mediterraneo alla Piastra which was amazing. The fish was very well cooked and soft - easily pulled apart with just a fork. The pesto was a nice addition to the meal as well. I also did try the La Grigliata Mista Di Vegetali and really enjoyed how all the vegetables were cooked and seasoned. All together, I felt satiated which was perfect. For dessert, we ordered the Tiramisu which was good. I really enjoyed finishing it off with the mint! Looking forward to future visits!

Always a delightful experience: a sophisticated menu, a friendly staff that recognizes repeat customers and welcomes new ones, all in a setting that provides the warmth and comfort of a neighborhood favorite. Old Greenwich is very fortunate to have this gem.

Applausi is always uniformly excellent! We enjoy it regularly and will continue to do it. The staff is friendly, mindful and welcoming. I've never had a bad or even just average meal here. It is always great to eat at Applausi!!

The food is always good here. It's INSANE how noisy it becomes after half the restaurant is filled up. Put some cloth table cloths on the tables instead of the plastic faux woven mats that nobody ever cleans and EVERYONE puts their silverware on. The laundry bill will be worth it. Also, there were 5 different people who waited on our table - no apparent consistency and they pop into the conversation - interrupting is the word.

This Italian restaurant was very good. The ravioli stuffed with crabmeat and a cream sauce was excellent. I had a really good eggplant appetizer. The menu has ample selections to choose from with pasta dishes, chicken, veal, fish, salads, and great appetizers. The service was very good for a busy night. I was warmly welcomed and they made sure everything was ok.
