Fools gold. The place looks beautiful and caught our eye so we sat down with excitement. Service was good and the food is plated beautifully. However, for the price, it is not worth the subpar flavors. To go into detail:- The Pappardelle was really disappointing -- dry pork, weird textured pasta, and bland sauce.- Paella had flavor but tasted more like fried rice?- Tuna tartare was good... refreshing and light. Just note that the hummus has thick texture.- Brussel sprouts were probably the best things on the table. It was crispy, sweet, salty, and a bit charred.Nothing really jumped out at me. It was just a table full of mediocre flavors at a price point that's not really worth the experience.

I'd give this place a solida 4.5. Caveat is we were there for lunch when it was very slow. So I can't comment on what it's like when it's busier. Didn't get to try any of their drink selections(typical fare). Their apps are tapas style, two selections per order where applicable. They were tasty although the brussel sprouts seemed very light and flaky almost like the center had been removed. Some things like the brussel sprouts and empanadas had a sauce drizzled on top. When seemed odd to me for some reason. Was expecting those apps to rely on their seasoning alone, but I'm probably nitpicking.Entree wise the portions are normal sized. Nothing huge. Pricing was decent especially considering the area.I'd recommend and happily try them again.

The food is freaking amazing here and the service staff are super nice. they have a great menu and their prices are somewhat reasonable too.

The food was overall good, some good and some okay dishes. The honey chicken and calamari was very good but the ceviche was not as good as other places. But the price tag was too high for what you got.Service was fast but the waiter said they couldn’t give any recommendations and instead would only explain what was in the dish, which was strange.

Really cool restaurant. Food was great. My wife had Mediterranean chicken and I had a Paella.

We stopped for lunch. We hadn’t been since Douro opened its new location and we were really pleased with our lunch. We started with soup and humus and them chose chicken dishes. The only item that didn’t work well was the saffron rice. We found the service good and responsive. We had a really nice experience.

This restaurant makes a lovely addition to Greenwich Avenue. The menu offers fresh ideas, breaking away from sushi, pasta or bar food. Look at the menu for inspiration. Everything my party ordered exceeded our expectations. The food was meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. Portion sizes were generous, not overwhelming. The ambience is relaxing with table spaced far enough from neighboring tables to have a sense of privacy.

Great menu! The Valencia paella was delicious. I also love the atmosphere and the service was top notch. My friend has the vegetable paella and our husbands had burgers. 5 stars from allof us!!

I had a rotten olive in my martini, leaving me no option but to quickly spit it out in front of other diners and was left with a terrible rancid taste in my mouth. Server was made aware and didn’t even offer water, or to take the drink off the bill. Food was basic, but tasty. Regardless, considering my overall experience I won’t be back. So many better options out there, where you can trust the bar will ensure any fruit used in cocktails is fresh..

This was our first, and sadly last time going to Douro. The bar service was actually great, the team members were attentive, positive, and delivered drinks quickly to us. Kudos to that team. It’s a beautiful space as well, and not too packed at the bar as we found a spot to place our order quickly while waiting to be sat.The food, while not bad, was underwhelming. Seasoning was sparse and portions were minimal given the price tag. When one charges $36 for a chicken entree, I expect a full plate with effort put into it, not two cutlets that were barely grilled and under-seasoned over top a handful of fried potato slices. There are simple efforts that can be made to improve upon their dishes to elevate them to be deserving of the price. However, the food was an afterthought compared to the ABYSMAL service we received once we sat at our table. The server seemed disinterested, annoyed, and at times disgusted that he was required to take our order. There were no check-ins after we were served the appetizer or entrees, and we had to flag down another staff member in order to place another drink order in. The server said maybe one or two words to us which was “Did you order?” After noticing we got our drinks at the bar. I strongly suggest their front of house manager takes better oversight of their staff. I would have much rather preferred being served by the runners or team members refreshing water than this individual. He might want to pursue other career opportunities as his conduct is a liability to their business.

Shrimp empanadas were embarrassing, no shrimp, strong deep fry taste, and very small portions. The house burger was decent but not for the price, friend asked for medium rare and was given medium well. I have been here before, the pizza is decent. I do no recommend coming here!

Went for a quick lunch, arrived about 1:30-45, with friends from the area. When we arrived the place was empty, it was a Monday and we weren't sure it was open, but they were and seated us right away. The place was well maintained, very clean tables. I ordered a small plate calamari & my daughter ordered a mozzarella pizza to share. Both dishes were delicious and the perfect size to share for a late lunch and to have room for desserts: a chocolate mousse to die for topped with fresh strawberries & whipped cream & 3 scoops of very yummy gelato. Our friends very much enjoyed their meals as well. Interior was impressive and layout was expansive, open and airy. Highly recommend this place for a bite to eat!

Disappointed with all the aspects! There were oil everywhere and the meat which should be well cooked it wasn’t. For $100 I was expecting more quality
