The perfect local oyster house, for your favorite oysters and fish! From the food to the staff, you can't go wrong and the bar with Miguel is just great!!
As an oyster lover, I don't know what Elm Street does but they do it right! Just perfectly shucked, right temperature and a careful selection of east and west coast delectables. And the main dishes match the oysters. All around a great experience. Thank you.
This was my second time to eat at Elm Street. We enjoy the oysters two ways, truffle fries, cocktails, salads and mains. Services was impeccable. Ambience was upscale and delightful. Will return!
Amazing meal at Elm Street. Fish so fresh (swordfish for me and crab cakes for my friend). Tuna tartare. Whoza ! So good too Service excellent and even the owner was attentive to us and very kind. For sure will be back .... Thank you for a super meal, Elm Street team

The restaurant was understaffed, or so it appeared, so even just getting water after we were finally seated (yes, we had a reservation) took over 15 minutes. Getting the waiter to take our order took 15 minutes more. The food was tasty and well presented, but from time we arrived on time for our reservation to time we got served took almost an hour. Infuriating.
By some awful luck, we wound up in Greenwich, CT while on our way to a different part of the state. Amidst a sea of pampered, Lululemon-clad trad wives, we made our hungry way to Elm Street Oyster House for a seafood-focused lunch. The food was tasty, the service was friendly and I left feeling like I actually had something positive to say about the area (for once).
The special Pan Fried Oysters were the perfect garlicky and tomato-y start to take the edge off our rumbling stomachs. My main was the deeply satisfying Sweet & Spicy Arrabbiata, which came loaded with plump shrimp, juicy mussels and chewy calamari, over lots of al dente rigatoni with fresh basil. Exactly what I want to be enjoying on a warm, summer day. The special Clams and Chorizo in Wine Broth was equally satisfying, with lots of clams for what was billed as a brunch appetizer.
Prices were at Manhattan level, but with bigger portions, so there wasn't as much sticker shock. I don't see myself donning a pearl necklace or tying a J-Crew cardigan around my shoulders anytime soon, so I probably won't go out of my way to intentionally visit Greenwich again--but if I do accidentally wind up there again, I know where I'll be brunching.

This was the best meal I had in Greenwich. It has a great atmosphere, fantastic service and the food is delicious. Do not miss the pan fried oysters. Not your thing? OK there is plenty to choose from on the menu and it is all terrific. Portions are generous and the bill will not break the bank. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Highly recommended

Elm Street Oyster House never disappoints. The food & service are both excellent. The owner is always on prem which makes a huge difference .
Service is always good. Attentive and friendly. The food was good. We had the crab cakes. They were yummy. The avocado and crab meat stack. Very tasty. Heavier on the avocado than the crab. Then the seared tuna over a salad. Wasn't quite as good as o remembered the but still good. We ordered the double chocolate cake for desssert and were both disgusting. It was rubbery and lacked flavor. Oh srlll. We will skip dessert I. The future.

Went for our weekly Happy Hour around Greenwich Avenue before the Summer Concert @ Roger Sherman Park. This weeks experience at Elm Street Oyster House was delicious and amazing. Renaldo greeted us and was so warm and welcoming and we were seated on the patio and taken care of by Jaime. We tried 3 appetizers to share, which did not disappoint. Buffalo shrimp, mini crabcakes and muscles. The Muscles were the standout, big, plump and with a tasty juicy base to dip our toasted bread. We also tried the New England Clam Chowder which is not to be missed! Finally, we shared the Asian chopped salad and the Salmon with a chili lime baste. All the food was done perfectly and so delicious and we can't wait to come back! Loved everything about this experience.
Disappointing dinner tonight at Elm Street Oyster house. We both ordered hot lobster rolls and unfortunately mine came out cold. Not like a cold lobster roll with mayo but a hot buttery one, only the lobster meat was room temp/cold. There was barely any meat on the roll to warrant a price of $45 and whatever was on there was overcooked. To top it off I was given the end piece of the bread. Most expensive lobster roll for being the 2nd worst I’ve ever had.
Our server didn’t come over once to see how it was or if we needed anything so I ended up eating it because I was so hungry. Luckily the fries and coleslaw were good. Definitely do not recommend this place.
