Great pizza! No argument about that. It's a tad bit cramped. Free Parking is impossible. Hell, just finding any type of Parking space is a daunting task. If you find a free Parking space you are either very early like before opening hours early or you're the luckiest person on the planet.

Probably one of the best if not the best Philly cheese steak sandwich I’ve ever had. And their pepperoni slice has the perfect amount of crispy. A++

Had no idea about this place and was actually recommended by my coworker who lives in CT. He showed me Guy Fieri’s video of when he went here, and Guy was VERY pleased with the pizza and cheesesteak. I have been to a few other spots recommended by Guy and was pleased with them all.
Read a few other reviews saying they prefer you to put orders in advance because they get very busy. I live about an hour and half away traveling from NY, so I had to map it out and time it appropriately. I ordered 2 pies- 1 cheese and 1 pepperoni. 3 cheesesteaks and 1 mozzarella sandwich for my family to share. When I walked in, it was packed(I completely understand why they prefer ordering ahead), and despite a fairly large order, they had their stuff organized and found mine less than a minute after giving them my last name.
My family and I all agreed on the pizza being really good and tasting like everything is homemade. They cook it just right that the cheese does not fall off, nor was the cheese or pepperoni pizza greasy. The pepperoni had a slight heat to it but mixed well with the cheese. My uncle is very critical with pizza and he was pleased with both pies. My mom said the mozzarella sandwich was very good.
I took one bite of my cheesesteak and let me tell you, that was absolutely heavenly. Had to have been at least a foot long. Every single bite was literally mouthwateringly delicious. The bread, cheese sauce, the steak, onions and peppers- it was all so delicious. I will definitely be making my way out here to get this often. This put the bar VERY high and I highly doubt I will ever find a cheesesteak to beat this.
Prices for all of their food are a little on the pricier end, but for the quality you get, it is worth it. I will definitely pay a little more if it means I am getting decent portions and the food actually tastes good.
I highly recommend Griggs and if you can, put an order in ahead of time. Both the pizza and cheese steaks get a 10/10.🙌

So, I took a foodie pilgrimage based on the legend himself, Dave Portnoy’s glowing review. After watching his video, I had to find out if this spot lived up to the hype. Spoiler alert: it totally does. 🙌
I called in my order ahead of time—because, you know, I didn’t want my food sitting around—and even the owner planned for travel time from Stamford. Now that’s dedication! When I got there? Chaos in the best way. A line out the door, packed to the brim, and no parking to be found. The place is on the smaller side, but it’s clean, cozy, and the energy? Electric. The line moved quickly, and before I knew it, I had my order in hand.
🔥 The Taste Test 🔥
Let me tell you, this Philly cheesesteak was an experience. The steak? Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The onions, cheese, and peppers? Chef’s kiss. And that bread? Oh man, it tasted like pizza crust’s fancy cousin—soft, chewy, and heavenly. Dave rated it a 9+, and I’m right there with him. This is hands down the best Philly cheesesteak I’ve had in Connecticut (and I’ve been to Philly!).
The only downside? Traffic and parking delayed me, so it wasn’t piping hot, but that’s on me, not them. It was still insanely good.
Shoutout to the super-friendly staff for making the experience even better. If you haven’t been, you’re doing your taste buds a major disservice. Run, don’t walk, to Griggs Street Pizza!

Update : Gave it another try, everyone gets a second chance. Pizza is great, staff is energetic and friendly. It’s a small place, so not for a big group, but a group of 4 could probably grab a seat if it isn’t crazy busy.
First Visit - Seriously….looked for parking for 30 min to find this garbage on the door….😑

I usually avoid eating dairy and gluten, but this pizza was worth breaking the rules for. Amazing soft and crispy crust, flavorful meats, and legit mozzarella with herbs and fresh Parmesan. Every topping costs extra, so keep it simple and it’s still delicious. Chill vibes (Stone Temple Pilots playing and Bob Ross on the TV). Limited seating, but super efficient kitchen.

Hate to say it cause it's so popular and I'm a little greedy for amazing spots. But need to be fair. Amazing pizza coming from city raised New Yorker (if that matters to more than myself haha)
This isn't a pizza review. It's a Philly cheese steak review. Best I've had and I lived in Philly for 7 years. That's it. That's the review.

This place is AMAZING. I live on long island, and work in brooklyn. We go on adventures to find great pizza joints and we found another. The pizza is the best ive ever had outside of the 5 bourrows. The staff was awesome. We will be back for sure!
