Generally it was a disappointment. Nice environment and decoration. Really average food, on taste, quality and presentation. Smaller than French cuisine portion at French cuisine price. Hard to believe this was in a Mexican restaurant. Service was super slow. We asked for paper napkins for the table and got one sheet of kitchen paper towel. It was unbelievable.

We had a great dinner at happy monkey! Food was pretty good, but the service was great. Our waiter, Will was so kind and helpful! He made sure I got something I wanted even though it was no longer on the menu!

I entered Happy Monkey without doing my research trusting my previous experience with Jean George restaurants. When I looked at the menu, neither the name of the restaurant or the chef matched the type of cuisine - however, I was pleasantly surprised. Every single dish, down to the tacos that I was able to try made me smile. I will be back very soon for round two. I must try everything on this menu!! Hats off!YOU MUST HAVE THE CHURROS!!! OMG

A Mexican restaurant on Greenwich Avenue.Sophisticated taste, service, and interior decoration typical of Greenwich.Everything is perfect, including the staff and customers.Greenwich is a city in America where many wealthy people live. Just look at the cultured residents, dressed in relaxed clothes (probably Brunello Cucinelli or Loro Piana), chatting with cheerful smiles, holding local beers and snacking on Mexican food that looks just like pintxos. , you will feel like your heart has become richer. It's a famous restaurant that you'll want to visit every day if you live nearby.

If you’re in the mood for some upscale Mexican fare, head to Happy Monkey on Greenwich Avenue. It’s truly a unique take on classic Mexican food with a twist. The drinks were all well made such as the spicy margarita and their house made hibiscus tea which was excellent. Pictured is the three salsas with chips, fried calamari, beef tacos, chicken tacos, pork belly tacos, fish tacos and croquettes. Some of the items missing that were must haves were the broccoli rabe quesadilla and the arroz con pollo. I’d argue a quick lunch of those two items alone would satisfy two people. We dined in with a party of 4 and were promptly seated and served drinks as soon as we sat down. Parking can get a bit hectic but circling the avenue made it seem fast. We declined dessert because of a famous ice cream shop across the street though all options looked delcious. We’d definitely stop by again for a quick happy hour after work.

I was pleasantly surprised. My friends and I hung out at the bar and tried the guacamole, calamari, quesadillas and drinks. It’s priced accordingly to its location.

It was raining and there were accidents everywhere, we arrived 10 min past our reservation and the hostess said, “its ok, but well need the table by 8pm” i have never been to a restaurant where we they tell you they need your table at a certain time even before we started eating. i spoke to them about it and they ignored what I said completely, i saw the hostess speaking to the manager, and he ignored the situation completely as well, when I brought it up at the end of the night his reply was said “ok.” Disappointing to eat somewhere and be treated with disdain.

What a beautiful restaurant on Greenwich Ave! They have a great menu and really professional servers. Favorites included the Cuban and the croquette appetizer. The pear and cranberry crumble was such a cozy dessert! I’ll definitely be keeping this spot in mind for future Greenwich visits!

I have traveled extensively and have dined at many establishments. This is my first time leaving a review for a restaurant. I have had instances where one service person has been rude at an establishment and I could dismiss it as them having had a bad day. But when 4-5 people in the same establishment on the same visit are rude and dismissive I simply cannot ignore it. When they asked us if we were done they literally snatched the mats from under us. We were not asked if we wanted more drinks. Everything was handled poorly, rudely and in a dismissive manner. Although the food was good, I will not be setting foot in that establishment again.

The tacos were very very good, however, $22 for 2 small tacos that left me hungry didn’t seem worth it. Although they were delicious, the price point was too high. The waiter was very nice and so was the atmosphere but I’m not sure id go here again if I were hungry, possibly somewhere to go just to snack on something with a friend.

Top dollar for mediocracy is an understatement. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. About five seconds after we were finished eating, the bus boy came and yelled over us mid conversation, asking if we were finished. Before we could answer, he started cleaning off the table! He literally removed everything like we weren’t even there. I turn to my left and the server was right behind the buss boy with the bill. I’ve never been rushed out of an establishment like this in my life. Go somewhere else! There are tons of restaurants on this street!
