They no longer are associated with the Kissaki brand & has gone way downhill. Not worth the prices at all. Save your money.

The chef was kind, friendly and a true sushi master. He was excited to share details about his passion — from his epic overnight supply chain bringing in the freshest fish from Tokyo to his personal favorites along the way. Omakase makes for a special, delightful experience!

Underwhelmed for what they charge. $100 to reserve 2 seats and $200 per person omakase. The selection of fish was good as well as the chef who was excellent at explaining the source of each dish. But we were not blown away by the flavors and textures of each bite. It was good but not excellent. Service from servers was subpar to be charging that price. My husband and I are huge fans of an omakase experience—and in comparison of Michelin star Sushi Nakazawa in NYC and two other spots. They does not require a deposit to reserve a seat and charge less: $180 per person with optional upgrades such as the uni flight that we experienced. Every single detail along with service was spectacular and we felt in the end that the bill was 100% worth it at Sushi Nakazawa. Kissaki Greenwich, unfortunately not so much. We drove almost 2 hours hoping for an amazing omakase experience and was deeply underwhelmed. Would not return. Next spots on our omakase list is Sushi Noz and Masa.

Second time here. Sorry have to write this poor review. This is NOT Japanese experience of Omakase. The staff is Chinese so they don't know. The young Chinese waiter is a rude boy with embarrassing wise crack remarks to the clients. Also trying to pick up the young girls at the sushi bar. Now for the food. It is not fresh. No flavor. no caring. Not even an explanation of what is being presented to you. I had to ask over and over again to the young man(not chef) What is this fish called??? And you could not even understand his English. Touch the sushi to eat it and the rice falls apart beneath the fish time and time again. This is not the kind of food or service experience you should receive for $200+ per person. Never again will i return. So sad.

This place is phenomenal! If you love sushi this is a must do experience. We did the 16 course tasting menu and tried all kinds of fish from Japan that were amazing and some of us had never heard of. The staff did a wonderful job explaining the origin of each fish, what made them unique, how they got them to the US and even showed us videos in the back of some shrimp, abalone, and crabs that were alive when they got here and what the indigenous to Japan ones looked like. It's very clean inside and minimalistic which adds to the experience of feeling like you're at a sushi counter in Japan. Highly recommend coming here and it's great for an occasion or just if you're interested in trying inventive and new sushi.

Some of the old reviews had me initially worried but I am so happy I made a reservation. Chef Eric made us feel so welcome. The omakase was fresh and super tasty. He was very knowledgeable and offered to let us try some dishes we were on the fence on. Everything was delicious and the sake they recommended was amazing. This place is on par with the best sushi you can find in NYC. We will be coming back regularly.Dietary restrictions: Offers to accommodate for allergies

This is the first time that I have tried Omakase, and it's very delicious, the service is also very nice. The way they service nigiri which is fairly similar to fine dining, as most of ingredients were fresh and tasty, not only that, it looks appealing, the chef made food like an art, each of pieces just melts into your mouth provided an explosive flavor to each nigiris. I would definitely come back again and recommend them to my friend.

It’s a wonderful experience. I ate so many Omakasa, but this is the best one with fresh food, kind chef, wonderful music, etc. Love the Uni a lot! So fresh and sweet!

I have enjoyed sushi in Greenwich. Omakase here at Kissaki takes it to another level. I will be back soon. Don’t have pics of everything but whatever Eric serves at the counter you will not be disappointed coming here. Cheers!

Fantastic lunch omakase with Chef Eric. Our party of four had so much fun sipping on sake and savoring all the fresh fish offerings (and you can add more pieces a la carte). This is a great place to try something different without breaking the bank. Highly recommend—sit at the counter and watch all the action right before you open wide for deliciousness ?

The Omakase lunch is great! Excellent attentive service. Small but nicely designed and spotless space.
