Disgusted and very disappointed.
Wow. Where do I start? My wife and our our of state guest just had the worst experience imaginable at Le Penguin.
The rude dismissive waiter demanded that all orders (starters+maincourse) be placed immidiately, not to waist his time and also added there would be no possibility to add to the order at a later stage.
This caused a conversation with management who outdid his waitstaff by being even more abrasive with an even more dismissive and derogatory manner toward my wife and our out of state guest, by refusing to address the circumstance and insisting that the wait staff acted appropriately.
Refusing to address the situation at all or offer any means of correcting the poor treatment.
This institution and it's staff are a poor reflection on our town and on all of us in Greenwich. We live within walking distance to Le Penguin and would frequent it and the sister restaurant Siren in old Greenwich.
Do yourself a favor and give these restaurants a pass. Go somewhere where your patronage is appreciated.
Very rude customer service. We ordered starters, as weren’t sure what to order next, wait and see what else we would like and the waiter’s response was that we can only order once. And once the order is placed that’s all we get. Soup nazi in Greenwich??? When manager was called, he said- that’s what the chef instructs waiters to do. Not a single apology from anyone.
Disgusted by the service, we didn’t even finish our food.
We live walking distance and used to frequent the place (as well as affiliated Siren after a day at the beach), but obviously will not come back to either one.

We came here on a late summer Sunday evening to celebrate a family birthday. This is a wonderful restaurant with a warm atmosphere, caring waitstaff and delicious food. We had moules marinere, ravioli, boulibaise and steak...all were tasty and artfully served...as an important side bar the restrooms are super clean and modern. This is a fine restaurant and if you are in the Greenwich art consider coming here... you won't be disappointed!

A joy. Fun place with a great ambiance indoors and out. Food to match!
Had ravioli with pea shoots, mushrooms, and Parmigiano. Perfect balance. Used bread to sop up the juices - that good!
Croque Monsieur was perfect. One if the best ever. Came with a small salad as well. My wife had the trout almondine special. Fresh, tasty. She felt like we robbed the place with how much food we got. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

My sister and I stopped by for lunch, and we were thoroughly impressed. Le Penguin has an inviting atmosphere with a great vibe, and the food was simply outstanding. The staff were attentive and made us feel well taken care of. Out of all the places we visited in the area, this was where we felt the most comfortable. Highly recommend!

Le Penguin provided an outstanding dining experience that deserves five stars! The duck was cooked to perfection, bursting with rich flavors and tender texture. The steak frites were equally impressive, with juicy steak and perfectly crispy fries. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable meal!

Our first time at Le Penguin. Made a reservation on Open Table. The restaurant itself is nice. Street parking. Paid meters. Host Edwin was nice. Our server forgot our appetizers. It was a shame because everyone had such great reviews. Got the scallops and muscles and wine. Everything was delish. The host Edwin was accommodating despite the loss of appetizers. Maybe will give it another chance. Love French cuisine and always on the prowl for good service, good food and good atmosphere.

Great experience. Like a 4.8 for everything. We got mussels, steak and frites, and ravioli. Mussels in the white wine sauce are as amazing and the steak was tender. For dessert we got the apple tart and arrogate and both were perfectly sweet and a delicious way to end the night. The ambiance makes for a perfect date night. Great spot in Greenwich.
