Was not impressed. They were rude to my husband when he showed up early for the take out. For the prices and location, you’d think the food would be more impressive. There are definitely better places in the area.
Horrible place. We walked into a completely empty room and stood by the entrance for a while. Nobody greeted us. An old man behind the bar saw us but didn't even bother and just continued doing what he was doing like we were transparent or weren't there at all. We got to the front desk and talked for a while until the man finally decided to say "hi, do you have a reservation?". He then lazily gave us a table and was weirdly staring at us as if he was pondering why we ended up in their restaurant. Odd! Then I saw that the leather placemats were stained with grease or something. The utensils were also dirty and smudged. We decided to leave. Completely bad demeanor + uncleanliness.1 star. Will never return.
The decor and vibes are fantastic, but:- Service is awkward bordering on uncomfortable- Prices are totally unreasonable- You can hear the restroom hand dryer loud and clear from the other end of the place- No dessert or cocktail menuI really wanted to like this place. One star for location and atmosphere.
I was there 4 months ago and had a wonderful experience. We add amazing food and the cocktails were great. We went back today and we very diss appointed. It’s below average food , slow and poor service. I have to ask a spoon for my soup dumplings ? !
Love the ambience, unfortunately service was terrible
We went there last night for my birthday last night and we had made reservations months in advance and were so excited that we even picked out what we were going to get ahead of time. When we sat down and were attempting to place our orders we were alerted by our server that they would only be serving sushi an Omakase. We didn't know if he was making a joke or being serious as we had waited a long time for this night and were very excited for what we saw on the menu. We were called two times by the staff of this location to confirm our reservation and seating, you would think at least one of those times we would be alerted about the very limited menu before we sat down and were ready to order.
We visited Moon with high expectations, but our overall experience fell short. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty. There were two waiters who were overwhelmed. After taking our order, it took about 30 minutes just to get our appetizers. The waiter recommended an entree which was tasteless. We ordered sushi which was extremely overpriced, but very average. We had to ask repeatedly for one of the appetizers, and finally got it after the entrees arrived. Meanwhile, more parties were seated and the staff was totally frazzled. Several other tables also complained about the long wait to receive their food. If this poor service as well as overpriced and average food is typical at Moon, this restaurant will not survive. So sorry to see this happen, as the only positive part of this dining experience was the pleasant restaurant space.
Omakase Sushi from Chef Rio was just amazing
This place is a disappointment. The decor is fantastic - feels like an NYC restaurant with a great vibe however the food is tasteless. Complicated sounded dishes without flavour. The sushi is not worth ordering - terrible! I was excited about the potential of this place but it’s simply trying too hard and cannot deliver.
Best sushi I’ve had so far!

What a great place. The pre-fix lunch was very delicious. High quality sushi, soup, rice entree and donuts! It was too good. Atmosphere sitting outside was nice, server and staff were attentive. Only negative, you would think a place that serves Asian food would have rice to order as a side but they didn’t. The prefix was definitely the way to go for lunch to try everything. Parking is on street, may be difficult to find a spot. It is pricey with prefix and drinks.
Food and service is amazing!! Everyone is so welcoming and makes you feel super special. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the food or the service. Highly recommend. Definitely a much needed spot in Greenwich with a great vibe.
Excellent! The interior is very chic. The cocktails look good and taste even better. Everything is delicious - small plates, sushi, mains. Didn’t try dessert sadly. Service is very very good. Overall so impressed we went back the next week! Happy to have such a great spot in town. Makes for a perfect date night or fun night out with friends.
Nice ambiance and a $35 lunch prefix came with miso soup, a salmon avocado roll, choice of entree, and Okinawan donuts for dessert. The service was great.
To celebrate our anniversary, my husband and I came to Moon for the 14-course omakase menu. The service, ambiance and food were exceptional. The fish was incredibly fresh and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the time between each course allowed us to savor each bite. It was a pleasure to be served by omakase chef Ryo. We also appreciated the freshly grated wasabi-- I surely can't remember the last time I had that at a sushi dining experience. Definitely one of our favorite local restaurants and we will be back!
