Orienta is a high-end, luxury French-Asian fusion restaurant centrally located near Main Street, Greenwich. Ambiance is understated, with low light and tables a bit too close to each other, bordering on cramped. Diners are permitted to eat at the bar, which opens up more cuisine area but eviscerates any casual bar scene. We arrived early and tried to grab a drink at the bar. The proprietor shoed us away as there was no room at the bar for drinks (perhaps something the restaurant should rethink). He was not overtly rude – but he wasn’t particularly pleasant either. Surprised, we left for another bar and returned later for dinner.I’m glad we did. As part of a large group, we ordered a number of dishes and shared collectively. Everything was delicious (perhaps that’s why the proprietor felt comfortable encouraging us to leave for a drink). For appetizers, the baby back ribs were the star – rich pork falling off the bone. For main dishes, the spicy duck lo mein is a must.Although the food is exceptional, prices are sky high. For six people, the cost exceeded $900 with very modest beverage consumption. I’ll be back, but preferably on an expense account.

Parking: There is a small lot next door but parking near Greenwich Ave in general is tricky

I was lucky enough to meet the owners and chef for an incredible lunch. We started with the fan favorite lobster shooters and then had the Vietnamese crepe with shrimp and chicken. It's an entree that beat Bobby Flay on his show. The shooters coconut milk was so delicious I could of drank it by itself. And the Vietnamese crepe was packed with flavor that was all over the map; Sour, sweet, salty. The decor was beautiful and definitely a place for a night out. Check them out, Tell'em Mike Sent You.

Excellent food, good service fun vibe. Bit of a small space so when it's busy, it's very loud and crowded but overall a solid choice.

The food was very flavorful and the atmosphere was quiet enough to enjoy conversations. This was my third time here and I will definitely be back. To add to our dining experience, my 11 year old granddaughter joined us for dinner and she too, loved the food.

We had a very nice dining experience in Orienta with our French friends. The food is exquisite, ambiance is great and the service is excellent and very friendly. For the main course I will highly recommend Steamed Halibut with spinach and Salt &Pepper Cod. The choice of wine us impressive as well.We will definitely come back.

was served spoiled salmon tartar...obviously not made fresh...Mike the manager confirmed it was spoiled but did not offer any consideration until i told him i would share this with an owner...i also found the atmosphere to be more of a bar scene with some tables vs a nice dining experience...pork dumplings were not flavorful though large..ribs were good

was served rancid salmon tartar and Mike the Manager tasted it to confirm but then did nothing to remedy the situation until i said i would be contacting the owner...guess they do not make a raw fish dish fresh...what else?

What a wonderful gem of a restaurant! We stopped in because we wanted something different and boy were we pleased we decided to come here. The service was excellent, quick and efficient. I mentioned to my server that I had a food allergy and she was excellent in ensuring I avoided things I should not be having from the menu. For starters we had the pork spring rolls which were served with a delicious sauce. They suggested we rap them in the lettuce they provided and it was so good! For our entrees I had the Shaking beef plate and my girlfriend had the Spicy Duck Lo mein. Both of our meals were so good. The Shaking Beef was out of this world. The veggies and beef was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. My girlfriend really enjoyed her duck, she opted out of the lo mein and had the Jasmine rice which she preferred. I can definitely see ourselves coming back to try other items. The ambiance at the restaurant was so good. The lighting was perfect and it was nicely decorated. They have a long bar area available for dining as well.

This place is just really solid, but definitely pricey. The food is very good, the server we had, who had been there since the beginning was knowledgeable, friendly, and on top of his game. We had a nice outdoor meal (I’ve eaten indoor which I didn’t love but it was fine). Unfortunately, the tables outside were on a pretty severe slant but, overall it was really really good.

First time there. Nice fusion menu. I had the “spicy” duck lo mein. The duck was well prepared but definitely not spicy. The lo mein was mushy. Wife had the steak which is same as le penguin bit with a Szechuan butter. Daughter’s chicken was the best meal with a great dipping sauce. Son had the special fish which also came with mushy noodles. Best dish was actually the garlic rice! Nice to see a pretty creative menu when all restaurants in Greenwich are owned by restaurant groups (like this one) with algorithmic menus that all have the same derivative meals. Would come back and try some of the other menu items.
