It's such a shame that such a beautiful warm atmosphere is ruined by snobby greeting the minute you walk through the door.... no warmth no thank you for coming, just an anxious obnoxious question ..."do you have a reservation"? The bartender has no personality whatsoever and was actually quite rude, we felt like we were bothering him .The food is delicious but completely overpriced $75 for Dover Soul what a rip off it was good but please I don't need to spend $75 on a piece of fish!

Great bar and atmosphere, but food missed the mark. The ? was rubbery and served with cold beans and pasta was served with 3 huge clams and not much else.

The food was excellent and the service was good until about 45 minutes in when the waitstaff was doing all they could to make sure we left as soon as possible and my friend and I felt rushed. I was happy to try it out however I won't be going back.

This place used to be wonderful. It used to be a great gem in Greenwich. Unfortunately the staff are ruining it in every way possible. Starting with the terrible manager on down. Friend of mine just called to say that there is a grifter with larceny charges sitting at the bar. Trying to pick up men. Manager should have thanked her for her call instead he was immediately rude and quickly began screaming at my friend who he knows is a patron for 2 decades of the establishment. I overheard the conversation because she had it on speaker. The manager became completely unhinged so quickly in such a rageful way, It was truly alarming and certainly no one like that should have contact with the public. You would think he would just simply say thank you for alerting us because we do everything we can to make sure that our patrons are protected from criminals. But no, there was no gratitude instead he said "we just serve food here that's a matter for the police." He didn't like that my friend knows the owner and knows that the owner would have an issue with his ridiculous statement because it contradicts the owner who takes pride in making this a lovely establishment for Greenwich's finest, who should not have to endure sitting next to a con artist with grand larceny charges. She explained this to him. Very respectfully and that is when he tore into her. Instead of thanking this kind lady he screamed at her. Do we really need to discuss how the food quality is going down on top of that as well? Please Ron route out your abusive horrible staff and get somebody in there to keep the mice from playing mean when the cat is away!

Manager is an absolute psycho. Several of the waiters are unbearably rude and abusive, especially to women. A lady in my party of 8 ordered chicken. We all heard her order. The older male waiter came back and served her veal. She very politely said this is not what I ordered and he proceeded to berate her. It was absolutely abusive but then it got worse. Because when he came back with her chicken he literally slopped it down on the table in such a way that the sauce came back up and got all over her. She was wearing a beautiful expensive designer blouse. White. Of course as luck would have it. He didn't even apologize. He just stormed off. If it happened to my wife she would be in tears. We were all mortified. Why would we ever go there again? Not to mention that on several occasions before this the food has been subpar from what it used to be. Please please get a new manager and clean out your abusive staff.

Had a wonderful dinner with friends last night, the bar was very lively and energetic. Paris was an amazing server, he provided excellent recommendations and was very attentive to our needs.

Finest hidden Italian Restaurant in CT with unmatched international clientele associated with Maritime and Financial Services. A true testament to both industries and Ron Rosa Polpo’s iconic owner and pillar of community. Ultimately, despite its secretive status, one of the most authentic and fun upscale dining experiences in prestigious Fairfield county.

The food is always outstanding. I regularly visit both Greenwich and Palm Beach locations. I've never been disappointed. Though it was quite busy, we were fortunate enough to be in a smaller room, with a lower noise level.

We had a great experience. Food and service were excellent. Feels like you're having dinner in someone's home. Looking forward to going back. Hope they will start stocking large ice cubes in the bar!

The service was not good at all. Attitude from waiters was poor and lacking in quality. No finesse whatsoever. Waiters have no understanding of how to behave in a top of the line restaurant. When you spend hundreds of dollars in a nice restaurant you do not expect 3rd class service. I suggest spending time training the waiters. Courtesy was also lacking. To me it felt like an Italian restaurant but with definitely NOT Italian service.
