Really nice bakery in Greenwich. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in their work. Everything looked and smelled great, the chouquettes and the baguette were delicious. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Believing their own hype a little too much. Just left the shop having been told “no custom sandwiches on weekends” despite having been here multiple times, on weekends, and ordering custom. Disgusting behavior of the staff who seem to revel in their arrogance. Loyal customer and positive word of mouth contributor lost and now the wind will turn the other way

Raphael's Bakery is absolutely fantastic! The warm baguette was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside -- easily one of the best I've had anywhere. The chocolate croissant was incredibly fluffy, fresh, and full of rich chocolate flavor. Despite a long line, the service was impressively fast and friendly. You can really tell they care about quality and efficiency. A must-visit bakery! Nice little area outside to sit too!

I’ve been a loyal customer here and have always spoken highly of the pastries and sandwiches, so I was excited to finally bring my boyfriend, who is a chef. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The iced coffees, which used to be excellent, were poorly prepared and tasted like water. When I politely asked for another, instead of simply remaking it, I was questioned about what was wrong and overheard comments under their breath, which felt dismissive and unprofessional.
The replacement coffee was no better — still watered down and undrinkable. In total, I spent over $50 on a sandwich, an éclair, and coffee I had to throw away. While I respect the quality of their pastries, the service and consistency did not justify the premium prices. Instead of trying to make the situation right or leave me with a positive impression after a bad experience, the staff made me feel uncomfortable for even asking. The response came across as aggressive, and whether it was because they were closing soon or not there’s really no excuse and sadly, I won’t be returning.

This was my first visit to the bakery. it was a busy Sunday morning, but the lovely staff member who assisted me made the experience feel welcoming and unrushed. When she learned that it was my first visit, she offered me some samples and helped walk me through my choices. I want to commend her service because while the food is spectacular at this bakery -- and I'll get to it in a moment -- the service is exceptional and will encourage me to become a regular customer.
I ordered the turkey and avocado sandwich and the pain au chocolat -- and both were wonderful. The baguette had such a depth of flavor that was complemented well by the mustard, aioli, avocado, arugula, and turkey. It was so tasty. And the pan au chocolate was crispy on the outside, buttery layers and chocolate in the center, and truly delightful.
What an amazing bakery - I can't wait to return.
