Food is mediocre at best. Was impressed initially when we walked in. Nice bar area and restaurant is pretty. At 10, the whole place turned into a club. We appreciated that they didn't rush us out and let us continue to sit in the back area.

Great food Wonderful and attentive service Was there for a birthday celebration, and it was very pleasant experience. Service was great. Food and wine were excellent. Good ambience fully recommend this place , quite a gem

Appetizers, drinks, entrees were delicious! I was so happy with everything during my dinner at South Bay. Loved the vibe towards the later hours w a DJ and just good music and dancing. Will definitely be back!

Unfortunately our dinner was ruined by a group of rowdy party guests that the restaurant put in the room where we were seated. We had to leave before we finished. No explanation or warning that this was going to happen. This is not a restaurant but a noisy bar scene. Manager offered no apology ( if indeed he was the manager) and seemed to care less as their focus is on drink not dining . Go there if you want to have overpriced drinks in a rowdy bar.

The staff are the best thing about South Bay. They are friendly and eager to please. The atmosphere was too dark, drab, not well attended with extremely loud , unpleasant rap music, not really what one wants to listen to during a Friday night dinner. The cocktail list is excellent and I would return for drinks except for the terrible, too loud music. The food was fair. They served stale supermarket bread. The salad had good ingredients but was over dressed and the vegetables in it were all chopped so small it was hard to know what I was eating. Then the crab and shrimp gumbo was a mush of ingredients that had no similarity to authentic Gumbo. It was a South American version with a very thick gloppy tomato sauce holding it together served over a huge pile of white rice. If there was crab, I never found or tasted it. The sausage which was listed as andouille was not. It was tiny pieces of something else. The okra was very difficult to find also as it was in tiny pieces and very overcooked. There were 4 small shrimp that were properly cooked, not overcooked but one tasted strongly of iodine. I had indigestion all night from that dish. My husband's cioppino had a mild flavor of seafood and he liked it. Nothing was served with either dish, no vegetables at all. And very little effort was put into presentation. The wine list is modest but had a decent French Chablis which accompanied the seafood well enough. We skipped dessert. Unfortunately it was a mostly disappointing meal/evening and we do not expect to rush back.

The clam chowder was very creamy, maybe a bit too much. I enjoyed my lobster roll although the bread wasn't quite what I expected. The salad that came with the roll was the highlight of my meal. A taste of octopus and a scallop from the plates of my parents were delicious. I shared truffle fries with my brother, so it was a family affair. The service was nice, although one of the forks wasn't clean. The ambiance was pleasant enough and I liked the stained glass style windows. Table cloths and cloth napkins were a nice touch as well. The food I had was worth the price.

The food was mostly fabulous. Small criticisms: my fish, halibut, was a bit dry but overall was very tasty. Our desserts were subpar. We both had sorbet and gelato and they did not have much flavor. The service was fabulous and friendly. The appetizer, salmon tacos, was the best fish taco we ever had.

Food was mediocre tonight. Waitstaff was ok but brought the wrong appetizer. Crab nachos were ok, burrata toast could have used more toast points. Sides for the roast chicken were bland. Kale salad was decent but not memorable. Ambiance left a lot to be desired. Loud post-work crowd in the bar... should consider a partition so dining area could be tolerable.

Amazing place to get dinner in Greenwich Avenue! My favorite appetizers were the mezze plate and the burrata toast. The mezze plate came with small bowls of hummus, baba ghanoush, tzatziki, and roasted pepper dip, as well as pieces of pita, cucumber, carrots, celery, and olives. All the dips were delicious. The burrata toast had roasted squash, apples, maple walnuts, pomegranate seeds, a little bit of greens, and a balsamic glaze. I’m a burrata lover, and it’s usually served with tomatoes, but I loved this unique blend of ingredients. For my main dish, I had the Maine lobster roll. This was served cold, with mayo, on a potato roll, with a side salad. The portions were huge and the lobster was so good. For dessert, I tried the skillet chocolate chip cookie, the chocolate lava cake, and the pavlova. Everyone at my table agreed that the chocolate chip cookie was the best dessert. It’s served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup. In one word, heavenly. For drinks, I had a yummy lychee martini. My dad had wine, and he asked me to add to my review that he thought the wine markup was very reasonable. It’s a beautiful restaurant, and service was great. Highly recommend stopping here for dinner.

While its an electric and ambitious menu, they pull it off better than most places in lower FF County. Worth a visit for chic vibe, creative drinks and a menu that has a bit of everything.

This is a must see in Greenwich. One of the best in the area. The food choices are numerous, and everything is well prepared, high quality and very tasty. The mixed drinks are great and wine selection is decent.

This is one of those places where they bring you everything you order at the same time, regardless of the size of your table. 4 appetizers at a table for two? No problem. While we didn't specifically ask they bring them out slowly, it should be understood that two people aren't going to eat 4 appetizers at once. So 3-4 servers bring out the apps and all hover around your able moving dishes around trying to make room for 4 more plates (guess what? there's not enough room). Then they start trying to clean up your plates and silverware before you're done. Not sure why they rush you when the place isn't nearly full. And the place is very loud. At least the crab Nachos were good. The rest of the food not so much.
