One of the best restaurants in Old Greenwich. Their breakfast items were delicious. The outdoor dining experience was lovely with family and friends during a relaxing and sunny Sunday morning. The weather was just right with some breeze. The area was not too busy but lively. People in town were walking and biking around. It’s a nice little neighborhood to explore.

The food and beverages are exquisite. The two lads up front are superb. I believe one of their names is Sinthia and the other being Alexander. These two fellas are very skilled and talented. However, the customers who come in at moments are grotesque. I witnessed a young lady whom came in with her mother cause havoc with a beautiful young ginger lady. These two women caused the beautiful one to remover herself from the premises. Overall, a dashing restaurant.
Alex and Sindy up front are very helpful and friendly. Kevin and Danny were very attentive as I was dining in. Highly recommend. It just gets very busy at certain times.
We’ve lived in Greenwich for years, and I’m not sure why we hadn’t tried this place before—but we finally did yesterday, and we really liked it! I had the curry chicken salad, my husband had a sandwich, and my daughter enjoyed pancakes and eggs. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. Next time, we’ll be sure to try the coffee!
Good food, service a little poor.
Sindy, Alex, and Katherine are the sweetest and very friendly. The girl with the purple hair is so nice and Alex was very patient as I have a speech impediment.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at this café. It came highly recommended by friends, but it didn’t live up to expectations.
When I stopped by to place a takeout order, I waited at the front for 10 minutes before anyone helped me. After placing my order, I was told there would be a wait. I paid with a credit card, only to find a tip was automatically added to my total ($16), which I find inappropriate for takeout, especially without my consent.
I returned 10 minutes later, but my order wasn’t ready and was told to wait another 15 minutes. Upon returning, I was assured everything was packed. However, when I got home, I discovered the order was wrong—items I ordered were missing, and I was charged for something I didn’t order.
I tried calling the same day but the restaurant was closed. Over the next two days, I called again, leaving a message to speak with the manager, but never heard back.
This experience reflects poor service and management, and I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Food is good, service is not. They just don’t know how to manage incoming customers and properly seat them in an organized fashion.

As a loyal customer of Sweet Pea's Cafe since its opening, I never thought I would be compelled to write a review like this. My recent experience has left me absolutely appalled by the atrocious treatment I received from the owner, Rafael.
I ordered the Sweet Pea salad with grilled chicken, a dish I've enjoyed hundreds of times, only to be served ice-cold chicken. When I calmly inquired about this, I was met with a snappy, condescending remark that this is how the chicken always is. It’s infuriating to feel like my long-standing patronage counts for nothing!
I called the cafe to express my disbelief, but the girl on the phone dismissed my concerns outright. When I asked to speak to a manager, she put me on hold yet continued to chat with Rafael. I could clearly hear her lying to him, and him making disparaging comments about "entitled customers." I've never complained in all my years of eating here, and to be treated like I'm causing trouble is beyond frustrating!
When I insisted on speaking to Rafael directly, I was told he was “too busy” to talk and was directed to email him at [email protected]—what a joke.
The welcoming atmosphere that once drew me in is now replaced with a cold, uninviting vibe. As a devoted customer, I left feeling insulted and unvalued. It’s disheartening to witness a once-great cafe completely disregard the loyal customers who helped them thrive.
I truly hope they address this severe lack of customer service, but until then, I can't recommend Sweet Pea's Cafe to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. Do yourself a favor and dine elsewhere!

Food was fine. Service was absolutely terrible. Seating is first come, first serve. They’ll tell you to sit at a dirty table, and then refuse to clean it. After ten minutes of waiting without being attended to, we flagged down a waitress asked for table to be cleaned, she rolled her eyes and said no and that we were in her way. We offered to move, and she still refused. Very disappointing as this is one of our favorite cafes. Will take business elsewhere.
