I tried this restaurant three times and really wanted to love it, but..first time- had to wait 30 minutes for a waitress to take our order and then wrong order was brought out for my friend and my food got cold by the time they made a new meal for me.Second visit was ok, but not memorableThird time - they didn’t have two items on the menu which we ordered and they didn’t tell us until much later, they started to push us to leave (mind you, it was mid-day and restaurant was empty), and they didn’t take credit cards due to system issues, so they suggested to write it down for them. Seriously? And, of course, in the usual fashion, staff was rude. Never again!

Very bougie, not quality ingredients, doesn’t accept Apple Pay? I don’t get this place at all. Terrible value offering.

What a shame. I used to come there for lunch specials and they were great. They stopped doing it (nothing last two times I’d been there). Today, I had ordered a $28 salmon dish that had about 3oz of food; no flavor and an overcooked salmon. Skip. Just skip, it’s a scam.Service was dismal too. An empty restaurant and our waiter was nowhere to be found. There was his helper who spoke no English.

Food was excellent but the waiter was pushing us to order fast and seemed to want to get us served as fast as possible. We asked him to slow down because we wanted to enjoy our meal. This seemed to annoy him

Very nice place for brunch but some of the food falls into the modern (and not so great) trap of mixing sweet and savory. The sausage is kind of icky; very sweet and the pork didn't quite taste like pork. Eggs were great but salad shouldn't be atop of eggs (warm wilted salad). The service was wonderful. We were seated, even though our friend had not yet arrived, and never felt rushed. Very friendly, excellent service.

Really enjoy every meal I have here. Service is great. Thanks chef Brian for the delightful appetizers you sent over.

Our waitress was nice and friendly but her helper had no training or knew anything about table manners. The food was a lot less than expected. The home fries were old-probably the day before, the mushroom omelet had no mushrooms in it and the cheese was missing almost entirely from another dish.Music was on very loud, instead of background music.

They were not flexible with the menu, ie I could not add salmon or chicken to my salad. My beet salad filled half the plate. The other half was left empty. This place is not worth the value or the food quality. I enjoyed though the hummus dish.

Wife and I frequent The Cottage and usually sit at the bar but we broke two rules last night and visited ON Valentine's Day (we never go to restaurants on the actual V Day) AND sat at a table. The 5 course fixed menu was absolutely amazing. Every dish was special, cooked to order, delivered at the appropriate pace, and with excellent service. Massive kudos to the kitchen staff for not cutting corners on the food which often happens on Valentine's Day menus. It was out best meal at the Cottage since it opened... and there have been more than a few before this.

I met friends for brunch. It was an interesting menu with a lot of good options. The corn bread and duck fat hash browns were a highlight, as were the bao buns. Oh, and the non alcoholic drinks were amazing!! I will definitely be back!

Everything was going perfect, amazing appetizers, delicious entrees, delightful cocktail and great beer selection. Would have been the perfect meal, but the dessert was a major disappointment sadly. The chocolate peanut butter sundae was soupy, warm with a weird sour taste. We let the waiter know, all the while praising everything else, and he didn't take it off the bill. Left a sour taste (literally and figuratively). Was a major downer to what would have otherwise been a great meal. Funny thing though, we were sharing our experience the next night at a party with friends and they said the same thing about the sundae!! Should definitely come off the menu.

We chose The Cottage because we liked their Valentines Day special multi course menu. We had a wonderful evening. Rose petals were scattered across the tabletop for a romantic effect. Each course was beautifully presented and delicious. Service was impeccable.

Beet salad is a symphony of greens and thick greek yogurt. Dive in! Loved the scallop sashimi over crispy rice bites. Best burgers ever! Oven roasted and super juicy dripping with gourmet cheeses. Cooked close to rare as requested.... Attention to detail is a fairly high bar here. Some appetizers are rather tiny and precious- while others are good size. For the full gourmand experience - dine at the chef's counter and watch the fun and get great tips from the chefs. Diego is the best bartender too ;) Japanese gin in the Negroni was pretty delish- but a tad sweet with the campari. Nice orange oil in there as well. Creative martinis and a pricy-but worth it $21 Giovanni 2020 Nebbiolo. Get it. Live large.
