Fabulous afternoon tea. Outstanding cucumber sandwiches. Excellent scones, clotted cream and chicken sandwiches.

This place used to be great, but with the new staff, the service/quality has gone down. Our food took so long to come out. The sandwiches were dry, the bread wasn't fresh at all.

This place is truly 5 stars but I can only give it 3. The biggest drawback is that they are not open on Sunday. Sunday is the perfect day to spend in Cos Cob shopping and getting some afternoon tea and The Drawing Room is missing out on a great opportunity. Their food and service is wonderful, as well as the shop. However, Sunday is the day to get afternoon tea, especially when you have out of towners visiting and want to end the weekend on a high note. There are no other cafes in the area offering this kind of experience so I hope that The Drawing Room will change their hours.

Rosa and William were the best, seriously such great service, they brought out the food super fast and made the most delicious cappuccino one of the best i've ever had, William's sandwiches are to die for!!!!!

A little underwhelmed after our first visit here. We came for lunch on a Friday. We managed to get a table and all other tables were taken. The kitchen is in the same room with one person cooking. So despite only ordering 3 simple things we had to wait a good 40minutes or so which was far too long for a quick and simple lunch. The food was nice but not amazing and the one thing I wanted had run out. Service was pleasant but again not as attentive as it could have been. There’s also a small shop of gifts you can buy here.Others have said good things about here so maybe will give it another try in case we just caught them on a bad day.

Teas, tea sandwiches, scones (with clotted cream and varieties of jam to choose from) are the chief draw of this cozy place. There is also outdoor seating in a pleasantly relaxing setting. They were very busy the day I went. The cappuccino was excellent, the coffee satisfyingly strong. I had to wait for my cranberry orange scone but the buttery texture and the four fruit jam and clotted cream made the wait worth it. Do check out their green and black teas, a wide variety.

It's Tea Time! Ooooooh! Tucked behind a store and after an interesting frolic behind some doors, you'll find this sweet little cafe! We got the London Fog Latte (small pot) and large, seasonal Pumpkin (large pot). Both quenched the two of us for about 2 hours as we worked and journaled. Ultimately, we both were starving at the end and got the Turkey Sandwich (with bacon!) and white bean soup... and then a second time (this time with the salad not the soup). Just perfect - 100% recommend.

Firstly, I just like to thank Will, our chef for providing excellent service whilst juggling 100 other tasks. You are the man Will! I like this tea room because it's casual. Every other tea room is extremely stuffy, i.e. white table cloths and cardboard cutouts of the Britain's Royal Family. The food here is great, and the tea selection is vast (obv). I had the "Dr. Hash" lunch special and it was delicious! Thank again, Will!

Went to return/exchange glasses received as a gift. Did not even take the glasses out of the packaging, yet I was told that without original receipt, the glasses cannot be returned or exchanged for store credit. Same exact glasses were on display for sale. What kind of business does that?

Such a quaint spot for a meal, the shop is fun and has fitting niche gifts. We had afternoon tea, the sandwiches and petite fours were divine but the scones were to die for-baked to perfection, golden and crumbly. Michael was our server, who was extremely hospitable.PS: They even do savory scones topped with Eggs Benedict ?
