Upper Crust Bagel Co

The bagels are really fresh, but this is the second time I've come and have been grossed out by how one of the workers handles food (same worker both times). He puts the bagels up against his hoodie and touches his phone while prepping food. He also acted as if I did not pay when another worker repeatedly told him that I did. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Ordered an OG bagel. They basically put zero smoked salmon on it but charged a lot . Embarrassing for them. Go elsewhere

Decent bagels but not the best in the area. Service was terrible! Kids staff the counter and the service level is terrible. In the last three visits they couldn’t get things right on very simple orders. In one case, on an order of 3 bagels, the child made 4 errors on bagel type, salad, topping - and forgot all of the muffins I had ordered and paid for! I had to wonder whether he was on drugs because I couldn’t believe how many errors had been made. Stay away. This place was a favorite for 10+ years, but what a crappy establishment now!

Started many days here. And it was a good start. Good, fresh and a place that I like although some minor things can get better in the mornings.

I expressed I had a “PEANUT AND NUT ALLERGY” and they said your good really quickly no reassurance or saying they will alert the staff or they didn’t even write it down. Then we ordered a pumpkin muffin asked if it had no nuts. They said no nuts for sure and then two bites in my mom found a walnut in it. And when we confronted them the guy said “oh well it wasn’t me “

And I was just worried abt my bagel and If they were actually gonna use a separate knife then they use on a peanut butter bagel to cut my bagel in half. If there wrong abt one thing who knows how many other things they are wrong abt and if they are actually safe as they said.

The service is fast and the bagels are delicious. They have a good selection of flavors such as sourdough and chocolate chip.

Great bagels and lots of choices for flavor/kind. I always get a English Muffin bagel lightly toasted with butter.

Absolutely fantastic bagels, best around. Terrible service. Order ahead and food consistently shows up well after it is promised.
Today as I stood in a group of other customers waiting for their order, I resolved never again to bother ordering ahead. Then I waited in line to ask if my order was in process (or had been mistakenly picked up in their chaotic pick up area.), and was told only that “there are a lot of tickets”.
Show up in person, but don’t expect polite.

I have been going there off and on for a few years. Most times simple a bagel and a sofa.. well today was different I ended up getting a Greek salad that cost 14 dollars and a soda for 3.75.. I never really thought bought they over charge for everything... put it like this there is another deli on the same block there Greek salad is 8 dollars and the salad is the exact same thing ... well just because they r in old greenwich dosent meen everybody is rich.. I am done spending money at this establishment period

This place use to be great but food quality has declined. Service is a complete farce. On my most recent order, I was given the wrong sandwich, the dozen bagels I ordered for takeaway were the wrong mix and the muffins were missing. Employee quality behind the counter is terrible - don’t know which way is up

BRUTAL SERVICE

Workers didn't wear gloves while preparing food. They were on their phones a lot, and I couldn't believe how long I waited for two bagels. I was a bit surprised. Everything bagel was just ok. This is supposed to be one of the best bagel spots in Fairfield county.

Excessive wait time. A bunch of kids that need more order or a better system. Also lacks in customer service. They huddle and talk amongst themselves before even addressing customers. I waited about 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. I ordered ahead of time and waited for another 30 minutes for my order after I arrived. I only ordered 3 bagels. Actually terrible.

Every time I order simple delivery breakfast sandwiches from this place it takes a minimum of 1.5 hours.
