“You get what you pay for and at Buttonwood you're getting very fresh ice cream that is locally made along with some tremendous flavors and you're paying a premium price for it. Cheap ice cream comes with a cheap price and you can find that in the freezer section of your local grocery store. The staff are always kind and they do their best to keep the lines moving, which can get very long in the summer months. They offer sundaes as well as waffle cones and traditional cones and bowls. The atmosphere is fantastic because you're outside, enjoying the beautiful views of their fields and very often watching the cows walk around eating the grass while you enjoy ice cream with your family or friends.”
“Love this place. The food is good, the place feels like an old school diner sponsored by Coca-Cola. Our server was attentive, sweet, and cute. Definitely stop here if your looking to get away from the casino.”
“We recently booked Chocolate Rose for my wedding in January and I’m so glad we did! Since the beginning they were so nice and attentive and easy to work with. I made a few changes along the way and they were so quick to accommodate and make sure I got what I wanted. The guests loved the cake and the dessert platters (they were gone in seconds I barely had time to try them all myself)! It was perfect. Exactly how I imagined it.”
“A great place through and through! Pat makes a killer old fashioned! Full and well stocked bar with an awesome selection of whiskey, bourbon, rye and scotch. Chris works magic in the kitchen, and every dish is fantastic. Definitely order a grapefruit martini, with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice! Or, ask the bartender to whip up any other martini you can think of.”
“I've been to Jewett City French Club multiple times, and it never fails to impress. The staff is friendly, the drinks are delicious, and the dance floor is always jumping. You can have a great time here, weather alone or group.”

“I will say I've been going here since about 2022. By far very good. And I've had Chinese before elsewhere and the crab rangoon here is perfect. It's not that puff pastry stuff that's flaky and falls apart. it's good. Some places usually have it salty this is not the case. Very fresh hot food. I've had the beef broccoli and the chicken with vegetables myself. Awesome. The family is nice. If there's any bad reviews they just Karen's that go out and wreck everything.. do not listen to them.”
“The server/owner was friendly and helpful. The food- General Tso chicken and Black Dragon chicken were our dinner entrees. Both entrees were hot and fresh. Black dragon meal had a little too much vinegar but was still fine. The owner was very kind and even brought us complimentary crab rangoon to try and they were very good. The egg roll was also good and fresh. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. The eating area had some flies that grossed us out and we had to shoo away from our food, until we eventually left. We also went to this restaurant for a to-go order of steamed chicken & vegetables and a quart of chicken noodle soup. The chicken & vegetables were great with the sauce on the side- especially when traveling and health conscience. The soup was okay- it was packed with udon noodles (didn't look like the menu photo at all) and did not have a lot of chicken in it. The owners are very nice and I like to support local, independent businesses, where the owners care about whether you return and want to make your visit enjoyable. When in town, I will return for a to-go order. * A couple of suggestions to owners: make sure to have bug catchers installed and away from patrons and remove the big storage cardboard boxes from the dining room. Patrons want a pleasant environment while dining.”
“This is a fun little roadside food truck. You would not expect it to be there, but there it is! They have a huge variety of hotdogs as well as burgers. I personally have only tried the hotdogs and fries and we have never been disappointed. The food comes out fast and fresh. The staff working there are always friendly and move as quickly as they can. The hotdogs and toppings always taste fresh and are delicious. There's a play area for the children to play in while they wait for their food. Plenty of tables are available and most have an umbrella to block out the hot summer sun. If you're in the area stop by and give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.”
“Our family loves Mei's. There is a great variety of options including vegan (our vegetarian daughter LOVES the Vegan Chicken and Broccoli). Please just note, there is seating inside but this is primarily a take-out restaurant.”
“Considering what I ordered it was all pretty good but the house lo mein was outstanding I thought and the prices were good. For instance I got a large burrito at Moe's southwestern grill and soda was 16 and change. I think the house lo mein is like half that and you get more.”
“We visited Rubini's Full Circle for the first time last week. We have been semi regulars at the owner's breakfast restaurant so figured we'd check it out.The entire restaurant has been completely renovated and looks great. A pub like atmosphere that is welcoming. We came pretty early so it was pretty quiet but did start filling up quickly, once dinner time approached. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being annoying.I ordered the calamari, which was cooked perfectly. I ordered the fish and chips and my entrée. Healthy portion and also cooked well. I was a tad disappointed with the haddock itself but the breading was appropriately crispy. My husband ordered a large side salad, which was massive and could be a meal on it's own with an added protein, and a burrito.Overall this is probably a do over for an impromtu outing.”
“This is a very well run Subway. The manager Brianna does a fantastic job of training her employees to be friendly and I always get plenty of veggies on my grinders. The veggies are always fresh too. I highly recommend this location.”
“Dean's Corner in Jewett City, CT, deserves four stars for being a staple in the area. The breakfast options are notably good, with a special mention for the flavorful sausage gravy that adds a delightful twist to classic dishes. The establishment boasts good service, making it a reliable choice for a satisfying morning meal.”
“First and foremost, we’re dealing with a Dunkin’ Donuts inside of a gas station. I say that because they have a smaller footprint, and therefore do not have as many staff as a normal size Dunkin’ Donuts would have. Usually 1 or 2 ladies working at a time whereas most DD’s have 4-5.With that said, there can sometimes be a bit of a wait, especially when breakfast sandwiches are being ordered. I have never experienced wrong orders, food being burnt, food not tasting good. Everything is always done correctly. The women that I have interacted with who worked there are always friendly. When my dogs are in the car, they are always excited and offer the dogs a munchkin. The food is what it is. It’s the same as any other Dunkin’ Donuts. The coffee is as you would expect it to be. Overall is a fine Dunkin location”
“Caputo Trattoria is a must-visit for Italian food enthusiasts. With Gaby’s attentive service and the unforgettable Cacio e Pepe, it’s a culinary experience that caught the attention of everyone around. A great experience and will be back for more”
“My husband and I picked this place to try and we are so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. We had the NE clam chowder and fritters for an appetizer and both were loaded with clams and the chowder was so creamy. For our dinner we both had the prime rib it was cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing. Our server Dee was also great she checked in with us and was super sweet. We will definitely be going back again.”
“Was walking out of AMG.From getting my haircut and my sons by Helena. when I decided to get something sweet for my son and I. Chondra hooked hooked us up with a acai bowl topped with coconut ?, granola, caramel, bananas ?, it was out of this world ? ??Parking: 10 spots or more”
“I've tried all the Currys, they're great but red was my favorite. pad thai is killer and my favorite is the drunken noodle. got a nice kick of spice and all the vegetables are always super fresh and delicious. definitely reccomend this place”
“Friendly and great food . If you want a smile go there!!!!!Kid-friendliness: The waitress is awesome. Always smiling the kids love her and she is quick. I drive out of my way to go there the food and service is so great”
“The Taco Pizza was insanely good, and surprisingly not messy at all. They've got it down for sure. You will search far and wide to find such as delicious a slice as Longos has to offer all to come up short. Do yourself a favor and stop by.”
“The menu was limited. I got the 3 course meal, scallops for appetiezer, beef wellington and lobster tail for the main course, and the desert was a pudding. The person i was with got a burger and cheesecake for desert. Everything was cooked perfectly, even the fries The beef wellington was great, im not a huge fan of the dish but it was worth it. My friend enjoyed their burger. We really loved the deserts! I would go back again.”
“GREAT family restaurant. Best grinders and Italian in the area. Best staff also. You will want for nothing. Definitely recommend the fish and chips.Kid-friendliness: Just a great family come as you are restaurant”
“Had best and Cutest waiter in town..Andrew...I order crispy chicken sandwich.. some reason I was expecting a small salad. It was not it was a piece of chicken the size of my face between beautifully toasted bread..the bread didn't stand a change with this chicken beast..somehow they need stronger bread for this sandwich....my daughter got doulde decker...said it was numy...I'll be back..also hello to the guys..mark, donnyand Paul ”
“We stopped here on a whim on our way home. This place is the best. Service is top notch, and some of the nicest people in the world. Food was delicious, and the best breakfast food we've had in a long time. This is the way things should be these days. Simple diner atmosphere where people are kind to one another. Will be back again for sure!P.S. Our son Jake says thank you for the pop!”
“Hank's Dairy Bar in Plainfield, CT, is a true gem deserving of a resounding 5-star review. Since 1957, it has been an iconic establishment in the area, eagerly awaited by locals every season. The food is consistently great, with a particular highlight being their delectable soft serve ice cream. The lobster roll is solid, but my personal go-to is their heavenly clam cakes and chowder. The outdoor dining experience on their expansive four-acre property adds a charming touch, making it perfect for families. Whether you're enjoying a meal at the picnic tables or opting for a nostalgic car dining experience, Hank's delivers. The added allure of special events like Backyard Car Cruises and musical guests further enhances the overall experience. For a taste of tradition and a memorable dining outing, Hank's Dairy Bar is the quintessential choice.”
“Great little restaurant, just like I remember it. I haven't been there in years. If you get the Chicken D'Angelo grinder, pass on the mayo; go with the oil and minced garlic.”
“I thoroughly enjoy going to this location (Plainfield). Coffee is far better than Dunkin' Donuts. The muffins, omg let's talk about the muffins! The orange cranberry is to die for. I believe everything is made fresh at this location and you can taste it. Their donuts are amazing as well. They are always offering specialty donuts like a lucky charm, Oreo, or holiday inspired offerings. Their bagels are soft, flavorful, and big. You're not getting a tiny grocery store bagel here. I have to compliment the management because the ladies working here are always kind, smiling, and fast working. They train their staff right! There is plenty of seating which seems to be an underutilized part of many coffee shops since 2020. The music isn't too loud and you'll be treated with the wonderful aroma of baked goods and coffee the moment the door opens and you enter”
“Delicious pizza! We called to ask if they had a specific pizza, they stated it wasn't on their menu but that they could make us anything we wanted. They did not disappoint! Will definitely be back and recommend to friends.”
“Had to leave a review as someone who has worked in food and at a local grinder shop for about 12 years- this food does not disappoint !! Great options, toppings, service and the cole slaw as a option over chips was super good too !”
