In the area for vacation and wow I wish I knew about this spot sooner! We came in about 40 minutes to close, and Mel at the counter was more than gracious to let us sit and order. You truly do not find hospitality like we received tonight at Astin J’s nowadays. Not to mention the food came out hot, quick, and delicious. (We also loved the drawings from the customers on the walls). You know the food was good because we inhaled it before getting a pic. Wish we could come back!

Okay this place is insanely good, hidden gem if there ever was one. Excellent smashburgers, chicken sandwich is juicy, tender, seasoning is perfect on everything. Huge portions, we ate ourselves into a coma. Will be coming back.

Holy Toledo, this place is such a hidden gem. The smash burgers are HUGE and oh so delicious. The fried chicken sandwich is PERFECTLY fried. Chicken poppers were juicy, moist, and a half order is extremely generous. In fact, all the portions are very generous. We’re thrilled with how amazing everything was. Thank you!!
Birria tacos were amazing. Cajun seasoned tater tots were also awesome.

My wife and I had lunch at Astin J’s and the food and service was amazing. It was our first time and, will not be our last. Food was seasoned perfectly. The Cajun fries were the BOMB!! We were so consumed with our food we forgot to grab our drinks from the cooler 😂.

The food is absolutely bomb here. One of the best local spots I’ve eaten at in years. We will be back regularly, only wish they had a NL location too so I could eat it for lunch all the time. Service was great too, would highly recommend giving it a shot.

I’ve been here a few times now and everything I’ve tried is amazing. Probably one of the best kept secrets in the Groton area. I’ve had the boneless wings (poppers), the mac & cheese, a cheeseburger, the chips and queso, and a cheesesteak. Everything is very flavorful and delicious. Friends have had the chicken sandwich and the tacos and they say those are also very good. The lady working there who usually serves is super friendly and very accommodating.
