The Clam chowder! Wow! Best I have had!
Lovely cosy pub with friendly service!
We also had the Beef wrap which was great the mushrooms added to the flavour, the Lobster roll we shared was also delicious the buttery sauce made it 🦞

Highly recommend snagging a spot downstairs in the pub. The ambience is so cozy and welcoming. Decorated for Halloween which was a nice touch for our autumn trip to Mystic the week of Halloween.
The lobster roll and cod were both delicious, no complaints at all. Our waiter went above and beyond for us.

What a delight to stop by this hidden jewel while passing through the area. As a life long seafood lover, I have to say that AI cannot remember tasting a better clam chowder! Not too creamy. Not too “seafoody”. Just the perfect balance of taste to go with my refreshing pint, half dozen oysters and crab cakes. All of these were almost just as good. But the chowder takes the prize.

Oh and you can’t beat the price during happy hour! Half off!!

The ghost of Revolutionary War patriot Captain Daniel Packer haunts this cozy, unpretentious historic restaurant where George Washington and the Marquis de Lafayette once dined... and his spirit manifests in the best way possible.

If you're a believer, The Captain's spirit is still looking after his beloved tavern and restaurant (no longer an "inne"), chiefly by keeping it one of the few old landmarks in Mystic that has never burned down.

If you're not, you will still love the 18th century charm and ambiance, the top-notch service, and, of course, the classic American fare with an imaginative haute cuisine twist.

A favorite of locals and out-of-towners alike, it's one of a handful of Mystic restaurants one absolutely must experience.

Very very good! Lobster roll was amazing, tossed is amazing butter with more on the side. The slow braised pork belly was amazing with a slight yummy crunch. Price is worth it because everything taste so fresh and homemade. I got the roll, pork belly, garlic and bread, and the salmon Cesar salad

Although service was great, the food lacked taste and texture given the price point.

It pains me to leave only two stars but the service we received was unacceptable. I'll start with the good. The hostesses were phenomenal. They were so kind and friendly. I can't say enough about how wonderful they were. The food was also fantastic. The flavors were spot on and seriously some of the best food we've had during our trip. Now the bad. This came in the form of our server Faith. She made us feel completely unwelcome and as if we shouldn't be there. She was short, curt and at times plain old rude. As soon as we didn't order alcohol she was done with us. We heard her interact with the two other tables she had and she was much more friendly. She even told them about some oyster special they had. We heard nothing about said special. We had planned to get dessert which we had initially told her. When we decided we were too full (and frankly just uncomfortable with how she treated us) we told her we decided not to get dessert she finally lit up. She seemed so happy to get rid of us. I don't know if this was a coincidence or not but I will just say we are in our mid 30s and got this treatment, the two other tables she had were 50+ who she was polite to. I don't know if she was assuming due to our age we would tip poorly but a sure fire way to get a bad tip is treat people the way she did. I would come back for the food but would absolutely refuse to be in her section again.

The food was excellent, easily the best Lobster Mac n Cheese I’ve ever had which, normally, would have warranted a much higher rating. As soon as we arrived the hostesses could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We did not have a reservation, which I would recommend for anybody thinking of dining here and both hostesses went out of their way to make sure there was an accessible table for my wife and I. That being said, once we were seated, our server, Faith, was the absolute worst waitress I’ve ever had at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. From the moment we were seated she was incredibly short, dismissive, and rude. My wife and I were tired from having driven almost 10 hours and were a bit out of sorts, which we attempted to convey, and Faith could not have cared less. We immediately felt as though we were somehow inconveniencing her with our very presence. This belief was reinforced whenever she interacted with any of the other tables around us. To them she was nice, warm, and, dare I say, charming. The only difference between those patrons and ourselves was that they were, on average, 20-25 years older than we are. Now, my wife and I are in our late 30s / 40, which shouldn’t matter. But Faith’s clear ageism was readily on display.

Would I recommend dining here? Absolutely. Just make sure that if you do, ask to be seated in a section where Faith isn’t the server, especially if you’re under 50.
