I hate to say it but I really have to dock one star for my review of this place. I know that many restaurants have been struggling over the last year with Corona but this place is run by a single old man who really just doesn't have the ability to do it all by himself anymore.
He's consistently overwhelmed at the counter trying to answer the phone, ring people out and make food all at the same time. He desperately needs an assistant. This is leading to him confusing orders or preparing them wrong.
There may also be a language barrier or he may be getting hard of hearing. Today I was yelled at for not having my receipt when I came back to pick up my food even though he never gave it to me because he was on a phone call at the time when I signed for it.
Don't get me wrong the food is great the price is reasonable but currently the service is lacking. Hopefully the guy takes this to heart and hires an assistant
Edit: Been a few years since my last review. They'd gotten some help so the service is better now but I hate to say it for the last few times i've ordered from here the quality has decreased. Things that normally come with eel sauce drizzled over it comes without it now. Don't know if this was a conscious change or of they just forget. Compared to practically all other sushi places I go to the rolls just don't look as good. But the prices have inched up each year. Kind of expected but not when quality goes down. Honestly I wouldn't be shocked if they don't last another year.

Called for 11 rolls of sushi takeout at 4:36 pm and asked for my large order to be done at 6pm for a party. They said it was absolutely fine. They called me back at 5:36 saying they can't at 6pm and to come back at 6:40 then promptly hung up on me. Had I known this delay I would of ordered somewhere else. I came a little earlier when there was only one couple not being served. Chef gave me sass for coming in and wouldnt let me pay at the end. I ordered once before and I paid once I saw the order. Definitely better sushi places after this (I ordered from Osaka at the same time and pickup beforehand, and I only gave them 45 minutes in comparison to the 90 minutes). Poor customer service with mediocre food. Friends and I won't be coming back

Great little gem in Groton. We ordered a few rolls and each one was delicious and fresh. The owner I assume, was kind and we got our order fairly quickly. I ordered the spicy salmon roll which lacked the classic spicy mayo taste, but the Alaska roll made up for it!
