This place is a solid breakfast place. I was surprised they open at 5am. As I sat and ate my spicy omelette I saw numerous people come and go. Many I noticed were regulars and were greeted by 1st name. Meals came out fast.

I am back in CT for work and I stopped this morning at Norm’s Diner for a quick brunch on this Sunday morning. I was welcomed with a cheerful greeting. However, because I was traveling alone I was offered counter seating. Which, I never sit at. There were tables available so I requested one but was informed that on the weekend those were reserved for bigger parties. It is understandable. So, I moved on to Sunrise Cafe in New London where I was able to sit at a table while traveling alone.

Very nostalgic and kitschy diner with really good food! I had a traditional burger and my boyfriend had the egg salad on toast and both were really tasty! The owner was very engaging. If you’re in the area, definitely give it a try!!

We were traveling in the area and thanks to Yelp, we discovered Norm's Diner. What a wonderful discovery! We had an amazing breakfast ... omelette was cheesy and filled with broccoli. We also had corned beef hash that was delicious! The sourdough and rye bread toast were buttered to perfection. Our service was perfect and would love to travel back and try lunch! A hidden gem in Groton. We did four stars because we did not care for fried potatoes but everything else was AMAZING!
