Dan's Rice Box Asian Cuisine

When trying to place a big office lunch order through an online ordering service for this place, it wouldn't let me place it same day (not enough time to prepare it according to the service - understandable.)
I called the restaurant, and the woman who answered was very kind and patient, took my whole order over the phone and went back over it several times to make sure nothing was forgotten, and helped me carry it all to my car. Top notch customer service and delicious food, too. A popular choice when we have group lunch orders! :)

Ordered food for 7 people and got them delivered and there's no chopsticks, forks or nothing. Someone told me this place is great, so I decided to try. Food was average.
Nothing special and nothing really bad, but I wouldn't try again after no utensil thing. You can't be cheap on that kind of stuff.

This place NEVER FAILS to deliver delicious food and sushi. It’s our go to! I recommend the anytime combo meals, you get a good amount of food for the price, the Thai tea is amazing, and ALL of the sushi is stellar!

Freezing cold in here. Ordered special wonton soup. Not special. Three tiny wontons hardly any meat. Aside from the vegetables, everything else tasted like it was frozen and reheated. Orange chicken was disgusting. Hardly any chicken. Looks like they fried prefrozen chicken and added the sauce packet. $30 for reheated frozen food that they did not make. Will not be back.

We did a door dash order this evening and ordered the happy family as well as other items. When we opened the package there was a foul odor and the chicken was slimy. We threw out the rest of our order. Do not order from here and this establishment should consider themselves lucky that I don’t report them to the Connecticut Department of Public Health.

Dan’s Rice Box is a counter-service location with takeout and tables inside. For 2, we ordered pork fried egg rolls, steamed pork dumplings, takoyaki (on the specials list) and an assortment of sushi and sashimi.
All of the food was great, and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. The pork dumplings are the best I’ve had in the area so far with great flavor and a delicious sauce and will be a go-to order on nights we don’t have time or interest in cooking.
Service was very friendly and efficient and the fountain inside makes for a nice atmosphere. We’ll be back!

This is still my favorite go to spot for Chinese take out, been going here for over a decade.

Service is always great, welcoming and pleasant to deal with.

Food is great, lo mein is some of the best I've ever had, having takoyaki in this area is awesome, appetizers are all great and so are their dumplings, only reason why I can't give them a 5 star on food is their rice, it's bland, it's missing flavor and for a good Chinese restaurant it's odd their rice falls flat compared to the rest of the menu. Pad thai needs a bit of work as well.

Will still be my favorite spot in the area!

The hot and sour soup is the best I've had from any place around here. It's the perfect go to soup for the sick season. Pork dumplings, general Tso's chicken, udon noodles, and their lo mein are all on point. The food isn't oily. My new go-to spot for Chinese food.

Japanese dishes especially the avocado tower always consistently delicious. Fresh and very flavorful this place never disappoints. From the Japanese dishes to the jalapeño rangoons on the Chinese menu always excellent.

They NEVER give accurate time estimates which makes me always sit here, waiting. And has anyone ever heard of the Child Labor Law? They have pre-teens working the cash register and younger kids running out the food.
