Somewhere In Time is the Sister Restaurant of ONE of my Favorite Breakfast Spots named 'When Pigs Fly' located in Waterford, CT. So I was hoping this spot was as good or better than her "Sister"!!😁
Upon walking in and recording with my phone I received a surprised and warm welcome from the Server Susan so that was a great start!😎❤️ The atmosphere was really cool, but it is divided into two sections, a front & back divided by a partial wall. The service was very warm, fast and welcoming so I felt like I was at Home.
Let's get to the food. I dropped in this morning and ordered:
1. The Sampler (2 Eggs, toast, one buttermilk Blueberry Pancake, one Texas french toast, two strips of bacon, two sausage links, home fries, toast & coffee) $19.00 👍🏾
2. Cheesy Grits /bacon $6.00 💣
The Cheesy Bacon Grits were OH SO GOOD and thick too! They were the bomb 💣. The Sampler was a Delicious & healthy serving size! There was no way I could have finished all of it in one sitting. Everything besides the French Toast was Amazingly Dope! The French toast was super dry so one bite was enough.😁 The Sampler easily earned a thumbs 👍🏾
I loved my visit at Somewhere In Time so I highly recommend this Breakfast spot! You need to get your a** down there right away and tell em' Big Al Mayo sent you✌🏾

Food and service were fantastic. I got the breakfast burrito and added a hasbrown inside of it. The thing was massive and very good. All wait staff was very nice. Coffee was great too. Classic old school diner look and feel. Glad to see they have multiple Gluten Free options + sourdough bread too.

Restaurant has a great atmosphere the service and prices are excellent. Banana bread French toast was good. The grits didn’t have the taste or texture I expect in grits and the sausage gravy had a lot of sausage but was surprisingly bland.

Came here two mornings in a row because breakfast was nice. Atmosphere was very chill. Lots of parking and grabbing a cup of coffee while waiting for breakfast was really nice. The food was a hit or miss for my table. Came back twice to give a chance. Very old smell at the entrance. I would recommend.

Looking for a brunch place. While you wait free coffee. Nice touch.
Food was great. I got the breakfast quesadilla with avocado, bacon and cheese with a side of turkey sausage.
This place is home away from home. We absolutely love the ambiance and hospitality of everyone here. And the breakfast menu doesn’t disappoint! Love love love!!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Somewhere In Time Cafe in Old Mystic. Service and bkfst was great and coffee while you wait for a table genius! Kept my "I'm not waiting" husband calm and happy. Good job!

Wait staff is helpful, well informed, attentive without being too much. Restroom was clean The only negative was the home fries. They were too well done, and very small cut as well.
