AMAZING PASTA!!! We happened to be in Mystic for a night and my daughter picked this out restaurant out based on the ratings. What a great find. We started with the Tuna tartar app and a then a variety of pasta dishes for the main meals. All were truly amazing, especially the cappelletti and bolognese. We finished off with cannoli and flourless cake and a few cocktails. Lucas was our server and his service and recommendations were spot on. Can't wait to go back...

The portions are extremely small for the price and the type of food. Italian food is synonymous with large portions and low prices, while the quality here is better than your average pizza shop, they miss the mark on both of those earlier fronts. One of the things I like about going out to a good Italian place is the leftovers. A few days in my fridge really gives all those flavors a chance to come together in a way they never will when you eat it fresh. I challenge anyone to walk out of this place with a doggy bag. Lastly, the menu is pretty small. While you can get away with tweaking it a little like asking for a different pasta or different meat for a dish it's hard to give an Italian restaurant a good review when their entire menu can be summed up on 1 side of a 8 1/2 x 11 copy from kinkos. Everyone in Mystic will tell you that if you want Italian go to this place, but once you go here it begs the question is this really a good place to eat or is it just the best the shoreline has to offer?

I was looking for a nice restaurant for dinner while visiting Mystic Village over the weekend, and Via Emilia really came through. Our server, Amanda, was so polite and fun. Thanks for putting up with my foodie questions, Amanda lol.The food was incredible. Solid appetizer portions for sharing, great menu ideas and flavors, and the entrees were delish.I've been on an octopus kick, and Via Emilia did not break the streak. Tender, crispy pieces of braised octopus in a creamy tonnato sauce. The flavor was amazing.I took a chance with the Speck E Mele, and I was pleasantly surprised. The savory prosciutto and the sweetness of the honeycrisp apple with a dried fig was exceptional. Harmonious combination of flavors. The mussels tasted the most familiar of the appetizers but did not disappoint at all. 8oz of mussels is more than I thought it'd be. I used the shell as a spoon for the saffron broth for one nice bite with the mussel meat. Good stuff. My entree was the lamb ragu. Ground lamb and local ricotta with a little shaved parmesan on top. Good portion for me, and by the end of everything, I felt very satisfied. My company also really enjoyed their wines and respective entrees. Thanks for the food!

Food is always good with a great drink selection of wine and cocktails. Shout out to our server Trevor who was very personable and knowledgeable. He customized a bourbon drink for me that was VERY good. Their in house Gluten Free pasta is highly enjoyed too. We will be back again soon.

We had a reservation planned on a busy Saturday. Lucas, and all of the staff, were on their top game and very professional. Me and my friends went in with questions - and Lucas and the staff happily informed us about some of the dishes. He made sure to ask about allergies. He gave his recommendations, and was extremely helpful & professional. The food was absolutely amazing. It's been a long time since I've had handmade pasta, and all of my friends loved it. I had their pappardelle dish with short rib ragu with rosemary & pecorino. The meat was so tender with this, and the tomato sauce with it was absolutely delicious. I also had Polpette Di Agnello - meatballs. Again, the meat was tender & excellent and the tomato sauce was to die for. My friends enjoyed their tagliolini with lobster and my other friend enjoyed their bolognese dish. My friend liked his Italian Job drink. Even the bread was fantastic.Overall, the standouts were the fresh pasta, the tomato sauce, and the outstanding service. Definitely will plan to come back.

Great Italian restaurant. Our waiter discussed each of our orders to make sure there were no surprises. Timed courses so that we were not rushed. Homemade pasta is fabulous. I had lobster pasta and there was a lot of lobster. Grandson enjoyed his steak, cooked just right. The halibut special was excellent. I got to try a piece of fish and the saffron sauce. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the gnocchi with squash.
