I LOVE the food at Ali Babas BUT every time, and I mean EVERY time I order they leave out the hot sauce which honestly is one of my favorite things with their rice bowls. I don’t understand it. Do you guys not read your order tickets? I stopped ordering drinks from them as well because those are also often left off. I wish they would pay more attention to their delivery orders.

Food is great but the past 2 times I have been here the food took much longer than expected to be ready after being ordered. I tried avoiding the long wait by ordering ahead via phone. They told me 10-15 minutes, it ended up being ready within 35 minutes. Prior to this experience I ordered at the counter and the wait was about 25 minutes. Restaurants like this want the business but cannot handle the volume and customers are lied to with inconsistent wait times. Especially with only one guy cooking? Not possible. It’s a shame because the food is tasty and place has a nice atmosphere.

I never fail to be impressed with the food from ABK our favorites are the lamb kati rolls, the lemon chicken, samosas and as of tonight the chicken wings with tamarind sauce. SO LUCKY to have this place in Hamden!
