I went on Sunday, and the employees who were there seemed like they already wanted to leave because of their lack of friendliness and courtesy. Before going in, I noticed that one of them was eating ice cream straight from the same bowl with her spoon. When they were serving our ice cream, they were touching it with their fingers to keep it from falling, and they were not wearing gloves. We ordered large ice creams with toppings. One of them dipped the entire ice cream into the almonds so they would stick. The other added so many peanuts that she had to press them down with the lid to keep everything from spilling onto the floor. I understand that when working with customers, you should be kind, helpful, and clean. However, both of them had a bad attitude, and there was a huge mess when they added the toppings. I noticed that someone with a nut allergy could easily have an allergic reaction because peanuts were scattered everywhere around the toppings, which is very concerning. I hope they improve their attitudes. This is an ice cream shop, not their home, to behave with such a bad attitude.😡😡

There were two Ladies that served me around 7pm Saturday , one of them I think without glasses had an obnoxiously rude & condescending attitude for absolutely no reason i was only giving my order normally & respectfully and her attitude threw me off. She was also having a personal conversation with the other girl in the middle of my order & seemed to prioritize that over customers. She seemed very miserable. Better take your money to the New Haven location!!

I love Ashley’s ice cream and I’ve never had any issues before today. I’m there pretty often. I went with my boyfriend at around 9pm today and the three girls were getting ready to close. I tried to say my order, but two of them were busy having a conversation on top of me ordering. Also the music was louder than it probably should’ve been because my boyfriend asked to try two flavors and she started serving two flavors so he repeated himself. Then he said he wanted a shake and she proceeded to put it in a regular cup and he had to repeat that he wanted a shake three times. I’ve also gone around this time before and I’ve never seen the toppings get covered. I was going to get gummy bears but they started wrapping it up as I pointed to it.

The manager is rude and disrespectful. The girl working in there yesterday at 5:15 was very nasty and mean when I asked her to redo my milkshake that she messed up on. The manager said I don't see anything wrong with that. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau

Worst experience ever. Hire kids to help the customers. One busy with her boyfriend more than helping people and he appeared scary and hiding his face standing behind us when we ordered. And the 2nd one gave her family ice cream and they were so loud and annoying. Not a friendly staff and toxic environment. I will never come back here again

My first disappointed service at Ashley's Ice Cream in Hamden. Ashley's representative was very unfriendly, and unkind and the serving was nothing compared to usual portion. I invited a friend to enjoy Ashley's real good Ice cream, but the experience was disappointing for both of us. Poor representation of what should be quality service at Ashley's Ice cream Hamden 😔

I’ve been going to Ashley’s for years so since I’m back in town, decided to stop. Me and my boyfriend got a milkshake and the cup already gotten smaller since I last got a milkshake but the kicker…the thing wasn’t even filled all the way?!?!? A good quarter of the cup was empty and their ice cream isn’t cheap. Essentially paid $17 for 2 half-filled milkshakes…insanity. On top of that the place was filthy, crumbs everywhere and dirt all on the floor. They did seemed a little understaffed so I understand not being able to stay on top of routine cleaning but the fact that our milkshakes weren’t filled all the way. Really? Is this the new rule at Ashely’s or did we just get cheated….

I understand the hype behind Ashley's. Solid ice cream with good prices. I really like their mint chip flavor it's very crunchy and refreshing.
They make their own ice cream. Do you need any other reasons? Well, they also have soft serve. That have been doing it for 40 years, read about Ashley while there.

It was pretty over priced $9 for the extra thick shake which didn't seem any thicker than a regular shake. Pretty ridiculous. Flavor was good but nothing special
