Ok if you’re looking for some bougie patisserie this isn’t it HOWEVER, this place has the character, charm and personal touch that has been all but destroyed in our culture. Andrew is the best. His baked goods are a lost art and so is the feel of his shop. It is as unique and retro as he is and that is a GOOD thing. He’s one of the few left that knows his customers by name as they walk in and strive to make sure everyone is treated well sure he takes weirdly long vacations...

I just had the best cheese danish of my life. Everything from this place is so fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more things!

I've heard a lot about this bakery and its wonderful owner, so I made a special trip to it from East Rock (New Haven) today. I got there twenty minutes before closing. Getting to know this hospitable person, as well as pizza and bread, was my reward. Everything else was already sold out before me, unfortunately. A wonderful place, and I hope to get to know it better in the fall.
