Sign of a failing business that can't afford to operate? $10 minimum charge for credit card usage!! Turned away because my bill would be $9.00. Don't trust this play, it's about to go under and cost cuts are happening in places you wouldn't expect - YOUR FOOD!!

Rude people, minimum purchases to use a card. Disgusting pizza. Gross left out for the day slices. AVOID!!

Wife wanted Frank Pepe’s but I wanted to try something new and encourage local pizzeria. Huge mistake. They are pricier than Frank Pepe’s for god knows what reason. The pizza was really soggy and the dough didn’t feel like fresh. We were served in disposable plates. Maybe the pizza I ordered was this bad. Definitely not worth the prize IMO.

Definitely a go to Pizzeria, Tried several around town and now we have are spot! The Calzone is always loaded and pizza is fulfilling. The kids agree too. The dessert display looks tempting, will be trying that next. 👍 👍 UP!

We celebrated Mother’s Day at Di Matteo’s in Hamden and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The owner, a mom herself, was there personally greeting guests and offering specials for all the moms—it was such a generous and thoughtful touch. She was incredibly kind and genuinely a joy to talk with. As always, the food was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and comforting in all the best ways. This place feels like family every time we visit. Highly recommend!

Pretty decey pizza

The pizza tonight was really delicious, but unfortunately, my order was missing one of the main toppings/protein. Despite this, the flavor and texture was still great and they were generous with the other toppings that I still very much enjoyed the pizza. As well, the delivery app compensated for the incident, which I'm grateful for. It's a bit disappointing that the mistake occurred, since it was my first time trying Di Matteo's, and I feel it could have been avoided with a few adjustments to the ordering process on DoorDash. However, I’ll definitely consider giving this place another try.

I dont know about the pizza but the ceaser salad is not that good. The chicken was super extremely dry and I wasn't very tasty.

The best pizza in Hamden! I've been going for at least 30 years. Nice staff, good portion sizes, clean atmosphere. They have Foxon Park sodas, which is a big plus!

They felllllll wzzaayyyy offffg. Grilled chicken wasn't well cooked. Lettuce wzs wet and soggy....pizza doesnt taste the same...they had a good run..
