I ordered a Chicola bread with extra Chicola in it. It had very little Chicola in the bread. BUT! of course I was charged for it! $18.00 for dry overcooked empty bread. The price gouging that is going on with greedy money grubbing scoundrels is sickning!!!! Needless to say I did learn a hard lesson. I will never give them another red cent! Hopefully there will be more people like myself that smarten up and boycot the greedy ingrate's who are taking advantage of the poor consumer! Unfortunately people like this can sleep at night! Have a HAPPY Easter, greedy!!!!!

We love DiSorbo's! Those cannolis that you see were stuffed with care by Steve. We called and asked him if we could do a gender reveal cannoli, and he said absolutely. It was such a fun way to find out ourselves and then to share with our families. This is one of the best cannolis around the rest of the shop always smells good. They also have a truck. You can see at Events or rent. We go there not because it's just close to home, but because it's a really great experience every time.

Ordered door dash: a lobster tail, sfogliatella, and mini chocolate lemon pies. Everything was good. The lobster tail was amazing, light and nice filling. The kids loved the lemon pies. And the sfogliatella was nice but could use a little more filling however it was still great. It was nice that it was able to be delivered (awesome to not have to drive into New Haven or anywhere else) AND that it was good too.

They are a gem of yesteryear Italian bakeries everywhere that are sadly disappearing. It's worth a trip for their delicious Italian pastries and has on site parking.

DiSorbo's Italian Bakery is an Italian Pastry Bakery that opened in Hamden, Connecticut in 1970. It was founded by husband and wife Luigi and Linda DiSorbo. They specialize in classic Italian pastries, cakes and pies. Some of the specialties at this 'pasticceria' include Italian bread, stuffed breads, cannoli, sfogliatelle, bocconotti, cream puffs, éclairs, napolitano cannoli, zeppole, biscotti, anginetti, pignoli, panettone, Easter pies, hot cross buns, rum cake, napolitano cake, and cannoli cake. Today Luigi and Linda continue to run the business alongside their children Steve, Joe and Lena. The business (and their delicious cannoli) were even featured in the hit TV show "The Sopranos". In the Season 6 episode "The Ride", DiSorbo's can be seen at the fictional Feast of St. Elzéar during a cannoli-eating contest. The name of the bakery is clearly visible on the booth's sign as well as on the t-shirts of the contestants. Yesterday my family and I stopped in at DiSorbo's to get some delicious pastries. We had never been there before so we decided to give them a try. Since St. Joseph's Day was a day away, we obviously needed to get some of the traditional St. Joseph's Day pastries: Zeppole. We ordered three Ricotta-filled Zeppole, three Cannoli, and a Chocolate Lemon Pie. Everything we bought was delicious! We are lucky to have some excellent Italian bakeries in the Greater New Haven area, and DiSorbo's is no exception.

I have ordered from this place a few times on hand. I always go for their stuffed breads. Well this past week (Wednesday to be exact). I ordered spinach stuffed bread and unfortunately I could not enjoy it because it was cold and way too much oil and the bread was OVER FILLED with spinach so much that my bread became soggy and wet. I had to toss it in the trash. Today I went to pick up some Angetti cookies. I asked them in advance can they go light on the icing and again I was disappointed because they put way too much icing on top. I also mentioned to them about my previous order of the stuff spinach bread. Their response was unbelievably unprofessional instead of a sorry, I got this, "Yea well we use a lot of oil". As if what I said was irrelevant or not an issue. As a customer I felt disrespected and disregarded. Moving forward this establishment will not be receiving any more of my business. Respect and customer satisfaction should be any business top priority. Where is the accountability for mistakes? Where is the empathy? Where is the customer's compensation?
