A Hamden institution. Classic old school Hamburger & Hotdog drive-in, with seafood options. Very good Hotdogs, footlong Hummels. Onion rings, made fresh in house. Don't forget to go next door to Kelly's for ice cream.

The last time I was being here in 2019, and I came back again because I missed their hot dogs and ice cream. It's hard to believe they've been around since 1955. If you're in Hamden, don't miss checking in here.

This is a favorite restaurant of anyone that knows about it for decades
It has the best lobster rolls Connecticut style that you’ve ever eaten
It also has whole body clams, which are almost impossible to find
And if you want something unusual, order
Fringe which is a combination of delicious onion rings and french fries
They also have giant hotdog what you feel like them burnt. Just tell them burn it.

I’ve been coming here for over 40 years. I used to bring my daughters and now I bring my granddaughters I still think they have the best hot dogs around. It’s gotten a bit pricey but everything has.

Not as good as it was. Warm soda bottles and had pass by several tables to fine a clean one.

My burger was delicious and the fries were very good as well. The coleslaw was not bad, but could use a few tweaks to make it excellent. Overall I was very pleased with the meal. I also got a chocolate shake which hit the spot. I decided to eat outside at a picnic bench. The only downside were these really aggressive flies buzzing around, but managed to swat them away. Fed a little sparrow a piece of French fry and he rated it 10/10.
I will definitely be back when I’m craving a burger and I really want to try their hotdogs.

Stopped by for late lunch/early dinner. Order was taken quickly. A slight problem with it being trayed as the first attempt was another guest's order. The second attempt was a platter instead of just fried clam strips. When all was straightened out, the clams were reasonable tasty; the tarter sauce very good. Portion seemed to appear larger than it was as it was piled into a paper boat. The hot dogs are always great and the combination fries and onion rings good - especially the onion rings. Pricey!

Ordered the lobster roll plate which was really good should be on a bigger hot dog roll though if I'm gonna spend 31 dollars
