This place absolutely lives up to the hype! I stumbled upon this restaurant on social media, and let me tell you, the clip was mouthwatering. After just a 30-minute ride down to Hamden, I can confidently say it was worth every minute! To make it even more special, I discovered that one of the owners is actually a high school classmate of mine. Not only was I thrilled about the incredible food, but I was also immensely proud of her for turning her dreams into reality. Having watched her journey through culinary arts to launching her own business, it’s inspiring to see her succeed. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to support local and authentic cuisine. If you’re craving Caribbean food, this place is as good as it gets! Don’t miss out on this experience!

Overall this is some of the best spanish food around. I searched for best spot in CT and this was listed. Did not disappoint...that beef stew was fireee and the rice was authentic.ill be back for sure to try more!

We tried so many different things. Everything was excellent. I’ve been to Puerto Rico 2 times and the food never tasted this good! You have to try this place out. Flavors are amazing.

We ordered a little of everything. Coming from Vegas we don’t have this type of cuisine. I did enjoy the single piece of chicken and the veggies in the chicken stew.
Rice was good, pork was way too wet and fatty. They put a piece of “skin” on top and it was so overcooked and literally crumbled like sandpaper it was disgusting. Pastelon was greasy and OVERPRICED. Empanada filling was way too wet you can tell they use that ground beef filing for a lot as all the food had that same greasy taste.

I ate there yesterday with my doubledutch sisters and I had the pineapple mango salmon with rice and beans and veggies omg so good it was everything. I appreciate good properly cooked salmon and the vegetables so flavorful. I am craving it now but they closed today. They also give you a lot so you can enjoy it for 2 meals which is good and worth the cost

The wait was so long, I bought 4 chicken empanadas and they charged me 15 dollars, I didn't have to know and to complete it they gave me too much burnt, so expensive and it didn't taste good, I won't come back again and a flycatcher that's disgusting
