Went to the place as a casual lunch spot just as they opened for the day. Very good, freshly made food. Had their freshly fried chicharon, rice with pulled pork and beans platter, and honey (insert tropical fruit) habenero wings. All items hit the spot, especially the seasoned rice! Perfectly seasoned, not salty and paired well with the “jous” of the pulled pork and beans. Family owned restaurant with the owners giving goodadvuce what to try as a first timer. Will spread the word and will come back again.

I called to place a catering order last minute. They were able to fill my last minute order and when I called to ask to have it earlier than I originally asked there was no hesitation when the young lady cook replied with a yes. When I came EARLY I had to call for her to meet me at the door with the food and she attempted to carry it to my car for me. My work friends continuously told me how delicious the pulled pork was and they all asked where did I get it from! So if you are in Hamden and want Spanish food come here! They won’t disappoint.
