30 minutes in the drive through is unacceptable, this is the worst Starbucks i have ever been to in the state!

Last Sunday, June 29, my friend’s child had her 6th birthday celebration at this Starbucks. Six of her friends joined, and as you’d expect with little kids, they accidentally spilled their drinks twice. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and friendly — they cleaned up the mess quickly and even replaced the drinks without hesitation. I truly appreciate their professionalism and warm attitude. Thank you so much! I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

I am food driver and every time I go in there (Hamden location) I will be standing there waiting and there is no acknowledgement. I get walked passed like I’m not standing there. No hello, how may I help you or someone will be with you shortly.
Then they just hand you the order there’s no have a nice to or anything.
I’ve worked customer service for a very long time and being pleasant is part of customer service.
They need to be trained better or something because its unpleasant to go in there

Very rude staff in a moderately busy store. I ordered drip coffee and was told to move to pick up area as the machine poured by my drink. After waiting 5 mins (the drink was ready in <1min), I asked the staff near pick up if I could have my drip coffee. I was informed I had to wait....I evidently had to get back into the ordering cue to get my coffee. No sorry, no comment from the order person just a blank unfriendly stare. I have to say how low Starbucks has come that's it the McDonalds experience...I keep forgetting to lower my expectations to less than zero. They just suck

I don’t want this to reflect on the employees moreso than the corporate management. This location is constantly backed up. The drive thru consistently has a 10-15min wait time and the inside area is shut down often due to lack of staffing. Even when it’s just a few cars in line. Not sure if it’s the equipment or understaffing but it’s been like this for years. Does corporate not see an issue with this?

Terrible. Just an awful location. It can be empty in the store and they'll still take forever to make your drink. No urgency. No care in the product. My hot Chai tastes like water. I gave this place another chance and they blew it. Badly. Don't go here.

Not consistent with the oatmilk selections, disappointing because when you change the brand of oatmilk, it also changes the taste/consistency of the whole drink please stop doing this 😭

The lady at the pick-up window today (01/30/2025 at 9:56 am) was quite rude to me and my husband. If she is experiencing a mental breakdown, she might need to take some time off rather than continuing to work in customer service. We love Starbucks and have been long-time customers, but we were so dissatisfied with the service that we left without picking up our order. From now on, I'll go to the one in North Haven instead, as they are more professional and nicer to the minor Asian community.

Literally the worst Starbucks I've ever been to! I live in Hamden so I have the displeasure of having to use them sometimes (though i try to use other locations if possible). Every time I've gone, the staff are rude, with zero personalities or customer service. They speak to you like you are inconveniencing them. They are exceptionally slow in making the drinks, again with looks on their faces like they all truly hate their jobs! Drinks are made incorrectly and cups are often messy when placed on the table. The store is always messy, the "order ahead" option in the app is often unavailable at this location. It's truly a disaster of a Starbucks. However, if you are a member of the LGBT there is a massive pride flag hanging on the wall. What this has to do with coffee idk; I've never seen that in any Starbucks and I shop at Starbucks all throughout the country. I'm gay but I also don't need to see a massive flag on the wall at every store I go to. Stop worrying about checking off "inclusion boxes" and run the store properly or maybe smile and make my drink quickly and correctly. That's all I need from you.

Great staff and very efficient. The fence they have that lines the Hamden Plaza makes it impossible to turn left out of the drive thru exit, but that is a fault on the architect they used rather than Starbucks themselves (there is no need for a fence there, just seems like bad planning on their part for not factoring in the huge blind spot they created - they were only thinking about looks and not about being practical).

I’ve going here on multiple occasions, and it’s simply okay. Customer service is friendly but often they aren’t paying attention (could be understaffing, simply not paying attention or caring). Got a drink with a carmel all over it in drive-through. It was so obvious, it was as though giving me another cup was too much of an extra step. I didn’t realize until I drove away how bad it was and I was headed to work and the line was too long to go back for another cup. Another time, I had a drink that was 2/3rds full. Multiple times, my hot drink has been luke warm. Other times, my order is missing (could be a system issue not an employee issue). I’ve just learned to double check my drink before leaving. Also, over the summer the outside patio was absolutely filthy. I walked up and left. I’ve NEVER EVER seen a Starbucks with such a dirty patio. All of these things combined - I started going 15-20 minutes of my way to other Starbucks locations or to more local coffee shops.

Worst Starbucks ever they never have matcha, their rewards scanner is always down. Orders are always wrong or half ass. Staff is overwhelmed and unsure how to make drinks and they don’t even take mobile orders or Uber eats. So the drive thru costumers are the only costumers
