I ordered breakfast at this Starbucks location online early this morning. I went in to pick up my order and was surprised to see only one associate working since in the past I have seen at least three employees working at a time. The one young lady named Jada, I saw working behind the counter was doing the drive thru, online orders and taking orders over the counter. She was not rushing but she was moving with such urgency to fulfill everyone's orders in a prompt fashion. Essentially she was doing the work of three staff members and all the while she was staying composed, efficient, and pleasant. Most people would be so frustrated in a situation of being short staffed that they would indicate their frustrations through conversation or body language. She remained a professional the entire time and even gave me my order with a smile on her face. I thank Jada for the incredible service she provided me today and hope Starbucks gets the right staff members around her so that this location can be successful.

This place was DISGUSTING. The floors were so dirty when we walked in that we decided to leave. Also, the staff just looked at us & kept moving around. No one greeted us when we came in & stood at the counter. Bad service & gross environment.

I feel bad leaving this review but think people should know what to expect:- The place is always a mess (unswept floors, dirty counters, work stations have melted ice and syrups/drinks spilled and not cleaned up)- The store always seems under staffed.- The employees either look overwhelmed or are moving at a snail pace because they don’t seem to know what they are doing. You will rarely find someone by the cashier waiting for you when you enter. A lot of times you’re waiting for the cashier to finish taking a drive through order before they even greet you.- The managers will sometimes be nice but they mostly look like they are trying to survive.- The store always has a line of customers waiting for their order, and a line in the drive through. What’s annoying is, trying to cancel an order already made on the app.- I once did drive thru because I didn’t want to wake my daughter from her nap, I waited 50 minutes and had a crying baby in the car for the last 10 minutes.- parking lot is so badly designed, you may not be able to leave because the drive thru is backed up.- during pumpkin spice latte season the app will always show they are out. But if you go in the store to order it they have it, you just have to wait an hour for your PSL.

I feel terrible for the staff here. Every single time I’ve been here it’s always backed up. Packed with customers and theres like two or three people in the building?? Whoever runs this location needs to be let go, Starbucks Hamden is a dumpster fire. Will not be

Terrible location. Customer service is always rude and unprofessional. The quality of the drinks is not as good as other locations. Management must be out to lunch. This place is in an unacceptable state. It’s been bad since they moved into the new building and I don’t see it getting any better. Try Woodbridge or Wallingford instead.

I can forgive the messy floor, it's raining and sleeting right now. Messy weather. But the gnats flying around and crawling on the pastries?...YUCK. My caffe latte tasted like hot chocolate. Last time i checked, lattes do not have chocolate in them. Lastly, i was absent mindedly watching the service counter for my drink to appear and one of the servers started opening a package of cups there. She stared at me, with an attitude like 'what are YOU staring at?' Um, i just want my drink. I hurriedly averted my gaze but...yeah just an uncomfortable vibe all around. This is a brand new Starbucks, too bad it was such a bad vibe. Get rid of the gnats at least.

First time at this location and definitely my last Frappuccino was extremely light in color & WATERY tasted like a pinch of everything was put in it not very tasty, 20 minute drive thru wait was insane too.
